In April 2020 Chase criteria for approving BUSINESS card applications have become more stringent. All Chase INK products are business cards. Chase also issues co-branded business cards for United Airlines and Southwest Airlines.
Chase business cards are subject to the 5/24 restriction. Approval of a Chase business application has not increased the N/24 count, but there are a few reports in the 4th quarter of 2022 that this may have changed, review THIS thread. There will always be some uncertainty, because 5/24 is an unpublished rule which Chase can modify without notice or explanation.
For general information about applying for Chase cards, including explanation of the unpublished 5/24 rule, please review the Wikipost of the PERSONAL card thread: HERE
Anyone can apply for a business card as a sole proprietor. If your business has a registered company name, which Chase can verify, you may use the name to apply. Otherwise, use your legal First and Last name as the business name. Do not add any extra words, do not use a made up name. If Chase cannot verify the name the application will fail.

Note: In the past, automated telephone status reports stating that Chase would notify you in 2 weeks often resulted in an approval, whereas the "7-10 days" telephone recording often indicated imminent denial. In 2016, this pattern became increasingly unpredictable, with many applicants receiving approval despite an earlier "7-10 days" automated telephone message. As a result, automated telephone responses should not be regarded as reliable indicators of an application's likely outcome.

Currently have 6 ink cards (2 wife + 4 me). Possible to get more?
Hey all,
I do not MS. I do buy gift cards but they are used for organic spending. I max all these 6 yearly.
I am thinking to apply for another one... is that an issue ?

- Applied for CIU midday on Wednesday, March 23
- Within a couple hours, was getting the "we'll let you know in 2 weeks" message on the automated status line
- As of today, Wednesday the 30th, still getting the 2 weeks message on the status line
- Automated status line continued to give me the "we'll let you know in 2 weeks" message for a full 2 weeks after I applied
- As of this morning, April 6, the message on the automated status line switched to "Thanks for applying! In order to obtain your application status, please press 0 to speak to a specialist."
- I hung up and checked P2's online Chase Biz profile, the new card now shows up so presumably P2 was approved

I applied and did not get an instant approval. However, when I check through the phone system my application status the system says I did not apply for any card. Is this normal?

It seems to be common for business card applications to be missing from the automated telephone system.

I just referred my wife's business from my Business Ink card. I was expecting the "we'll let you know" message. Nope. Instant approval with a 28K line.

For a new account, card not yet received, no activity or statements, last 4 digits of account number online, any way to see the entire account number? (Would be helpful when calling Chase to discuss the account, I completely understand if the answer is “no”.) Thank you.

This could be done in 2016, but it appears Chase recognized and fixed the flaw in their SM system.

What should we do if not auto approved since no biz sign in to check . Hate the thought of putting her on
the phone . Just wait ?

5/24 Question
I applied for the Hyatt Business card a few weeks ago and was denied due to "too many credit cards opened in the last two years associated with you." I've opened 4 personal cards and 11 business cards (3 from Chase) in the last 24 months, and I keep very careful records. When I called Business Reconsideration the rep told me that they look at ALL accounts opened in the last 24 months, both business and personal. I know she is probably wrong, but it is odd that I was automatically denied for this reason. Has anyone else been told the same thing or have evidence to the contrary in the past few weeks? I'll call again, but thought I'd check here first for data points and suggestions.
(I did get the Cardless Manchester United card last May, which does not show up and my credit report and was touted as not affecting 5/24, but I am wondering if that may be the problem)
