What's the difference between the Ink Bold & Ink Plus cards?
Ink Bold is no longer available. It was a charge card (pay balance in full each month), but it has been discontinued and many accounts were converted to Ink Plus cards with the same account numbers.

Ink Plus is a revolving credit card. It allows you to earn and redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards points (including transfering UR points to air/hotel/rail partners).
What are the best current Ink Plus offers?

The Ink Plus card is no longer available for new applicants. There is a separate thread for The Ink Business Preferred card.

Links for non-targeted Ink Plus 60K offer ($5,000 spend/3 months; annual $95 fee not waived)
There is a report of a 70k offer for the Chase Ink Plus available only through your local Chase Bank office, extended to August 20, 2016. If you recently accepted the 60K offer, you may be able to get the extra 10K simply by asking for it.

There is a no-fee, UR-earning Ink Cash card: https://creditcards.chase.com/ink-bu.../ink-cash-card
Are there are any rules or restrictions to keep in mind when applying for an Ink card?
What is the "5/24" policy?

If my application isn't approved instantly, should I call in?
How can I determine the deadline for meeting the spend requirement to earn the signup bonus?
Once I meet the card's spend requirement, how soon will I receive my signup bonus points?
After being denied, how long should I wait before applying again for the same card?
How long should I wait after closing my card before applying again for the same card?

See the wiki & current discussion at Applying for Chase Credit Cards, 2017 onward.
Are there special earning categories?
Yes. You earn 5 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at office supply stores, and on cellular phone, landline, internet, and cable TV services. (Sirius XM Radio also qualifies.)

In addition, you earn 2 points per dollar on the first $50,000 spent annually at gas stations and for hotel accommodations when purchased directly from the hotel.

NOT ALL Ink cards earn the 5x and 2x bonus categories above. Not "Old Ink Bold" that earns 7,500 bonus points for $25,000 spend, 15,000 points for $50,000, and 25,000 points for $100,000 spend.

Where can I find the Ink Plus Guide to Benefits?
What are the rules for transferring UR points to other users or to my own air/hotel/rail accounts?
Closing Ink Plus cards
It is possible to pay the annual fee for the Chase Ink Plus business card, then close the account and get a refund of the fee up to 6 months after it was charged. This provides a total of 18 months of earning up to 5X points for free. Make sure your points are transferred out (either to another UR account owned by you or a spouse, or to an air/hotel partner) before you close the account.

Data point: I applied 3/21, have gotten the "two weeks" message since, but this morning it changed to 7-10 days hopefully a false signal.

I'm at 4/24, though 3 of those 4 were about a month ago. Will update when it's official.

Data point:

What the heck, I got approved after 2 days. I received an approval e-mail after not even being able to check my application status through the automated system.

I thought I had a 10% chance of approval AT BEST. I'm probably 5/3 let alone 5/24. Also my credit recently took a big hit from 800 to 710 because of an accidental late payment (woops).

I currently have with chase 2 Freedoms, 1 IHG.

Hopefully this is an inspirational post since I was not expecting this at all and took a gamble.

I've seen a lot of data points in this thread.

I just have a quick question: after I submitted my application (and naturally got the pending decision message), when should I call up the recon line? Like right away, next day, or after the waiting time changes?

Thank you.

You don't call at all unless you're denied. Just be patient and wait it out.

Data Point: Applied 3/21 Still getting the "will reply in approx 2 weeks" via the automated number. I'm at 4/24 with an additional 2 cards as AU.

I'm trying to wait it out, but I'm on the verge of calling. Anyone have it take this long and work out?

As indicated in the wiki (and on the various offer landing pages), there's no first-year AF waiver.

You can access the desktop version of FT on a mobile device, and then you should see the wiki. (Of course, whether the wiki will fit well on your mobile device, depending on screen size, that's a separate issue. That's probably why wiki's are disabled on the mobile version of FT, because they're formatted expecting a decent size screen.)

Chase Busn Ink Mini-Saga Monster Call ==> APPROVAL!!!:

a. got BusnInkPlus 10/3/14, cancelled yr later
b. just got BIP 60Kpts $5K 3mos invite in mail
c. applied online 4/3/16, no instant approve
d. ALL in one call with transfers:
called recon to volunteer $6K cred lim & lower other Chase cc's
cred lim, transferred to cust serv & lowered (2) cc's cred lim,
transferred to Security to activate just-received ChaseMarriottBusn cc,
transferred back to cust serv to lower its cred lim, transferred back to
recon to answer 2014-15-16 income Qs & why I needed (2) Chase busn cc's
me: "separate intl from US busn spending" (I just got both Chase Marriott
cc's March 2016), was asked why I had (9) Equifax inquiries, why so many
cc apps in short time, me: "numerous cc's offers lately with bonus incentives
lowering my airfare & hotel expenses," & added am always paying
balance in full monthly. Approved $6K cred lim, requested & got
rush delivery (to trigger bonus via 1.88% IRS cc's pay <4/15)

Summarizing: lowering cred lim on old-still-open Chase cc's
plays H U G E role in getting approved for low cred lim new Chase
cc even when one has "too many" recent credit checks --
SO IT SEEMS...
cred lim lowerings = 12K to 8K, 10K to 6K, 15K to 6K, etc.

If I get a letter asking me to send in verification of Tax ID #, address for business, does that mean that once I send in, it will be approved? Or only that they will then go through the full process including checking # open accounts in last 24 months?

Applied 3/17 for both csp & ink. csp approved via phone same day. I let ink run its course, and it was approved today (message changed from "2 weeks" to "approved" today). Have almost twice the cl I did with ink bold a year or so ago. Business is good

It means your app is pending the receipt of that info. Then they will proceed to make a decision, yes. You will likely be approved if the requested info doesn't raise any new red flags.
