On a recent CX349, seating 18D, the seat is HORRIBLY worn out. Aria can't happen quick enough.

Aria

I would lile to try Aria from SIN or TPE, wondering when they will have the schedule and on which flight number?

So far it's PEK line (for obvious reasons). TPE might be too short to have it (my guess) early. I would really be surprised if they don't do long-distance route after the China routes.

TPE has already been rostered for CX402/479 pair this month. I just flew on 479 a few nights ago.

SIN is next in December. My educated would be the CX739/734 pair.

the Aria Suites need an update when installed on A350-900 and A350-1000 and B777-9X, as well as updating the design on B777-300ER when A350 start installing.

Thank you! Is the CX402/479 previously was filled with 777 old config?
I would like to do redemption for either CX739/734, but so far its still display the old 777 config instead of Aria, back of my mind would suggest to give it a go and let the gamble begin lol

What should be updated?

- full-height floor-to-ceiling walls around the Aria Suites, with automated doors that go 'whoosh' just like in Star Trek
- obviously a fully lie-flat bed isn't enough, by the time of the A350 revamp we should be more fully flatterer, basically bending backwards [Edit: brilliant, CX can be the first airline with inflight yoga!]
- USB-C to be replaced by USB-D

even if its a joke, realistically, I can see business class evolving this way when technology and planes get better and better.

maybe the bed can become a massage bed, the ife might be 55 inches, 8K or something like that, and perhaps the seat is wider than the room as well. today's first class would be the business class in the future, and first class might become something like a palace.

It's always fascinating to ponder 'what next?' in this field. At a certain point you're dealing with physical limits - there's X amount of space - and the economics of how you use that space (EY's A380 Residence is an good example of a very 'smart' way to make use of space).

Looking at a widebody business class: there's X amount of cabin width across the fuselage and two aisles down the middle, so you're constrained to work within that.

You're dealing with the limited floorspace of a business class suite and the width of that is the limit of your video screen, as well as furniture like a chair or bed. So how can you differentiate and innovate within that fixed footprint?

But then somebody will come along and transform the space usually given over to two middle suites into a double-sized private first suite flanked by business class suites at the window on either side, and even have a few of these central first rooms down the first few rows of the cabin, and suddenly it's "game-changer" time again!

I don't want a suite (cubicle/capsule) door but I will root for a whoosh door!

I was flying TPAC via NW/DL earlier this century. The biz seat while flat but not lie flat had built-in vibrating massager

Just beware that not all CX 402/479 in November will have the Aria Suites... Check accordingly before booking!

Until the tech catches up, this will be achieved by having a CX Green member manually open/close the door and make the 'whoosh' sound for you.
