Re club point vs 1 year extension, the former can progressively, esp. when the virus goes on, weed out those who took advantage of last year's high-CP F/J mistake fare trips, particularly those who took many RTs and became high tiers, when they don't keep up the pattern this year and have a mid-year membership end (most do).

You're asking too much on CX's IT. And I'm almost certain most of those that took the mistake F/J trip were non-status and AA members / credited to who knows which program, but most likely only a small % to MPO.

Think you misunderstood. It requires nothing on CX's IT part.

I believe the sentiment JordanWalker expressed was that the already-existing CX IT systems are of sufficiently low quality that they would break if CX tried to implement whatever we're discussing in this thread (as opposed to what I think [?] you're saying, which is that implementation of the changes we're discussing here does not require the involvement of the CX IT department).

CX is not going down. CX is, however, changing.

Recieved an email last April 10 but it's only the previously released video of Ronald Lam, no mention whatsoever of whats the plans are after April 2020

Something must be in the works... give them some time. Literally everyone in the industry is extending membership... I'd be surprised if they don't.

The CP gift works just as well. CX offered them before other's status extension.

The simplest way for CX to handle this is CP for May and June.

But Mr. Wang might have a better idea!

I think the CP relief is the best given that they can stop it anytime when things appear to improve. It might work out better than just giving everyone a year extension.

As much that I think CX Management has other stuff to think about at this time, shouldn't they at the very least reach out frequent fliers to let us know what the plan is after this month.

Reports that CX is renewing status for an additional year quietly like they did during the mass MPC exodus of 2017.
