Thank you for this excellent review, can't wait to visit there this Thursday.

If I am lucky enough to clear my waitlisted upgrade, then I can visit the F lounge which looks even more stunning!

Stopped in - albeit far too briefly - on Friday and I must say, the new lounge is superb. ^

As my inbound flight had to hold for a bit and landed late (that never happens at LHR...) there was only time for a glass of Taittinger and bowl of wonton noodles, both of which were quite tasty.

I spend most of my ~25 minutes in the F side, but did wander over to the J side before leaving; the latter is much larger and more open whereas the F side feels much more intimate and cozy. Overall, great lounge, and I'm already internally scheming how to work in a longer layover at LHR should I cross the pond again in Feb as currently expected.

Much more could be said, but Jermyn's review honestly covered it perfectly. Absolutely worth a visit - especially as a OWE.

It is a stunning lounge. Very well done to CX ^

All other OW lounges at LHR are miserable in comparison, including the fabled CCR in T5 - laughable in comparison.

I enjoy every minute in the Pier at HKG, so this place is second best

I just hope those not in the know continue to frequent the pitiful offerings of BA and AA, keeping CX lounge quiet

I had breakfast in the dining room last week and I felt the menu had quite a few options. Lots of egg options to chose from among the usual pastries. I would stick with the CX F lounge.

Couldn't agree more. Surely BA management can walk through this lounge and think 'ok this is what a decent lounge should look like...'

Lots of people talking about the F lounge, can someone who's been comment on the J experience as well? I'd very much appreciate it

Sorry no J yet. But just enjoyed an hour plus in the F lounge. Top notch as per earlier reviews and easy to find just to the left of the BA lounge corridor as you approach. Managed a couple of Baron de Rothchilds and a few of the restaurant dishes incl the beef and the pear in red wine All Good. And excellent value for a OWE flying Y! Flat white from the machine was very average though . IMHO the coffee is much better Dowunder

I have added this to the wiki too.
I will work to get the Business Class review up in the next day.

I'll be back in the lounges this weekend so if you guys have any more questions that I haven't covered, please let me know!
Loved the first class lounge review! Any update with the Business Class lounge review?

Just stepped out of the new LHR lounge and it was absolutely brilliant. Spent a good 4 hours in there - the noodles was excellent and there was a chef from HK to supervise the staff. Also tried out the shower and was really impressed. They stock a good range of amenities including full sized bottles of Nivea Men deodorant. The shower itself felt like one from a high class spa.

Well done CX. Now if you would just improve the onboard experience and get rid of that hideous new boarding pass design...

Hi guys, apologies for the delay (I was travelling again this weekend ). The Business Class lounge review is now up!

I'm so pleased the CX lounge is back and better than before. I've avoided the No. 1 lounge, but have coped just fine being welcomed by BA and AA F lounges - I was only politely declined entry to the BA lounge once after AA F closed at 6:30pm - I say "politely", as the lounge attendant said that as a result of an agreement between CX and BA, CX passengers could come in after 7pm, and she invited me back at that time.

Although I also expect that many BA and AA travellers will simply go to the lounge on their printed invite, I doubt that CX lounge will remain a well kept or even not so well kept secret.

Heathrow is an airport where I can't time my journey with any accuracy because of traffic or train delays, so I always aim to get there in plenty of time - now there's a real incentive to get there in good time.

thanks again.
Thanks so much chater, I can't really ask for higher praise than being told that you feel like you've already been

I was back this weekend and it was super busy in both lounges, until the midday CX departure, at which point it suddenly became very empty! So perhaps (hopefully) you're right.

I really enjoy entering the Pier F lounge in HKG, turning left, and walking up to bar and ordering a flute of rosé champagne to start the lounge "experience". First world complaint for sure...

The lack of the Laurent Perrier Rosé champagne is a more serious matter!
There is a full service bar in the J lounge, serving almost exactly the same drinks. I quite like that there is only one bar and that the serene ambience of the F lounge is maintained by keeping said bar in the busier of the two lounges.

The LPR is a bit of a loss but the BdR is definitely ^

I'm so glad you've enjoyed my trip reports, I hope I didn't oversell the CX lounge and that you loved it as much as I did

I was back in the lounge on Saturday and was able to sample the breakfast options. I had the eggs royale, which were better than a similar dish in The Pier F HKG. I also got a fresh fruit salad, which was quite decent and my friend had pancakes which he said were really good.

Overall, nothing groundbreaking but I just love the atmosphere in the F Dining Room. The coffee could use some improvement (it was either not made in an espresso machine or it was made with too few shots).

The english breakfast has no black pudding though , which is almost enough to convince me to head to BA F... almost

Thank you, I was waiting for this I'm hoping for a near-equivalent of the new CX J/F lounge at YVR that opened this spring - you havent by any chance been to that, or anyone else here and can compare? If not I'll just make the comparison myself next weekend. The YVR one is fantastic.

Looks near-identical at least, though the food looks very different. This one with a noodle bar & buffet, the YVR with dim sum made-to-order. I'll miss my BBQ pork buns!

hope CX can have an identical lounge built in: MEL, JFK, FRA, DUS, LGW, ORD
As the CX lounge in MEL is too outdated when compared to the recently renovated ones.
