The sides (and salad) are available for any main course, per their position on the menu below all of the main courses.

BA207 LHR - MIA - not the best menu IMHO

Desert wine good - afternoon tea was nice - and an A380 that left on time!

That’s also pretty poor customer service to refuse sides when asked?!

Roasted cauliflower and truffle soup, unfortunately this was watery and relatively tasteless.

Warm chocolate hazelnut bread and butter pudding with salted caramel sauce, dry with little caramel or chocolate to taste.

Fortunately had eaten well in FFD. The breakfast was Dorset granola, very nice. There was a banana and Nutella crepe on the menu which I would have chosen had I woken sooner.
One of the things I like about the A380 F is that they can do exactly this on the side console and give you the space to freshen up and stretch out while having your light brekkie before landing.

Just another reason why I still prefer these birds despite their shoddy reliability on occasion.

I'm flying this route end of next week.... assuming as that'll be in May a different menu will be in operation by then?

Yes, there will be some changes, if you were so inclined you could ask them to send you the menu from early next week onwards.

When would the LHR - HND menu for May be released? Would I need to contact BA First to get the menu?

Attaching the May menu I received for my LAX flight next week. Suspect this will apply to a lot of LHR departures in May. Lots of similarities to previous months.

LHR-HND menu for May from YouFirst. Disappointed not to see any proper Japanese options like JAL do. If anyone has any photos of the dishes I'd be very grateful.

Forgot the bar menu. One thing that does appear to be new is the Johnnie Walker Blue Label 'Umami' edition. Quick google and it appears to retail for £300. Has anyone tried this before? Looks like the Caol Ila is no more sadly.

They had the XOrdinaire edition on board and in the CCR for a while.
Haven't tried the Umami yet but hopefully will shortly.

Shame to see the back of the Caol Ila although the Dalwhinnie 15 is a decent (inexpensive!) aged single malt.
