Your TP count will reset on 8 August 2022 as normal, regardless of whether you earn any more TPs between now and 8 August 2022. Even if you get to 1125 TPs by 8 August 2022, that would only guarantee you Gold until 30 September 2023, the same as if you earn no more TPs at all between now and 8 August 2022.

If you collect 1125 TPs between 9 August 2022 and 31 December 2022, or 1500 TPs between 9 August 2022 and 8 August 2023, you will renew Gold for a further year, ie until 30 September 2024.

Hi,

Your tier points will reset on 9/8/2022 (including those earned from now until then.

You are now gold until Aug 2023.

You will have to earn 1500 tier points before 8 /8/2023 to retain gold in 2024 ( However if you can earn the reduced requirement of 1125 tier points in the 4 months Aug 2022 to Dec 2022 you will renew gold for 2023/2024

Effectively any extra tier points earned between now and August are wasted ( apart from adding to your lifetime tier point total(

Regards

TBS

Thank you - that is clear. Obviously frustrating as I got most of my TPs last month before the extension was announced on a TP run and it was all for nowt!

Apologies for this question but I just want to make sure that I've got this right. I currently have 1,005 TP and my TP collection year ends May 8, 2023. My card (silver) expires on June 30, 2024. As I understand it, should I, by December 31, 2022, get 1125 TPs or 3750 TPs, I'd get Gold or Gold Guest List respectively. However, I'd have until May 8, 2023 to get either Gold or GGL but it'd revert back to the normal 1500TPs/ 5000TPs. Is that correct? And whether any higher status is earned prior to May 8, 2023, I'd have said status until June 30, 2024?

I think you mean your card expires on 30 June 2023, not 2024, right? I am also an 8 May member and this is what it says in my account... or am I getting something wrong?

A couple of confusing things here?

Does your digital card show you having a Silver card with an expiry of June 30, 2024? Or is it showing June 30, 2023?

You are a May 8 TP year-end. Do you really have 1005 TPs currently or did that TP balance reset to 0 on May 9, 2022 just ten days ago?

If you earn 1125 or 3750 TPs between May 9, 2022 and December 31, 2022 you will earn Gold / GGL. If you do not meet those levels by December 31st you will have until May 8th of 2023 to earn Gold or GGL by reaching 1500 / 5000 TPs.

I wonder if this further reduction in TP requalification will apply to everyone, as opposed to targeted emails.

I understand that the 50% threshold is for all, to RETAIN status
If upgrading from one level to another then the 75% threshold applies

Does this apply to GGL (reduction to 50% to retain status)? I don't seem to have received that email.

If your year end is this year, haven’t you already been extended?

My year end is 8 Mar. My question is whether I can renew GGL with 50% of 3,000 rather than 75% of 3,000 if achieved before Dec 31. I think the answer is "no". Were I a silver I think the answer would be "yes" (50% of 600).

Yes that's correct. Reduced thresholds of 50% only apply to silver and bronze members.

I think everyone else (including GGLs) still gets the 25% reduction in tier points until 31 December though.

Question for the experts.

I plan to become a 'bucket and spade' GGL in late July (fingers crossed) - I have an August year end which should get me GGL until August 2023.

I've just booked another double tier point bonanza holiday right at the end of October via DOH giving me 1120 tps in total. Assuming this then gets me over the 1125 threshold will that be enough to retain me at gold until August 2024 ? Or as a GGL will the system try and keep me going for GGL renewal so I don't get the benefit of a reduced tier point threshold ?

I believe the 50% reduction only applies to Silvers ending in Q3, not Bronze
