BA swapped our LAX-LHR flight from a 777 with CS to one with CW. The CW cabin is pretty full. I picked two seats for us in the center, but now a window-aisle pair just became available. Any advice on switching? If we stay in the center, we both have to climb over others and the FA has to hand our meals over someone, but we're facing the same way; if we switch, only one of us has to climb over someone but we're facing opposite ways. I'm leaning towards switching but would like to hear what people with more CW experience think.
Yes the person in 15A will have to climb over 16B (although currently unoccupied) and 14A person will have to climb over passenger in 15B but for privacy, it is much better since I hate middle seats for reasons given above.

772 First seat vs Club suites
Recently went to Nassau. Flew outbound in CS and on way back, went from CS to old style club world and online check in put us into First as FLUB.
Despite the space in old style First seats on the 772, I found the CS seat to be more comfortable for sleeping although not sure if this was because we didn’t get any mattress topper in First but did in CS.
What are peoples thought on this?

LHR-SFO
Hello. I'm looking to book the new club suite in September. It appears BA flies the A380 for BA287 (which doesn't have club suite) and the 77W for BA285 (some of which have club suite) to SFO. The latest advice I've seen (both on this thread and elsewhere) is that no one knows if that 77W will be upgraded by the time I fly. So I'm guessing it's probably not worth rolling the dice? FWIW, the seat maps are showing the old club world config. Thanks in advance.

Yeah it's quite the gamble. Personally I'd opt for the guaranteed nicer & quieter cabin of the A380 upper deck (and aim to snaffle 53K or another no leapfrog seat) vs crossing my fingers that the 77W refurbs will be complete in time.

Hi folks, I have a short flight coming up in Y (77H) to BOS, less than a week away now. When I booked I picked an exit row for ease of access in the event of a full cabin. The seat map is still wide open and selling classes down the back are all still 9s. Would it be wise to pick one of the pairs down the back and hope a seat block comes into place? I do prefer a window, but don’t like getting trapped in. No connection at the other end, so I don’t have to worry too much about immigration time.

row 40 is indeed next to the emergency exit with the window seats having slight extrusion from door but still reasonable space.
Toilets are pretty near by, so people do congregrate sometimes on a day flight.

I would stick with the exit row seats personally since if you do book one of the double and someone sits next you in the seat, it s pretty difficult to get out.

Thanks, I think my plan would be select the aisle of the double seats in the hope that the window would get blocked. Worst case scenario is someone sits next to me but I can still see out a bit and get into the aisle. Obviously on the day all being well I’d move across to the window with the aisle free.
You will have to make sacrifices on whichever seat you choose and so you can make your choice, dependent on what you are happy to give up.
Obviously if you get the window seat in the doubles empty, you are going to be better off (although someone will recline into you from the seat in front of you)!!
Decisions, decisions- only you can make it

Before this, I was asked for my menu choice after we were in the air. Has the service changed?

Booked a last minute trip to BOS next Friday in Y with HBO. With Bronze I should be able to select my seat from tomorrow, and on other bookings MMB says you can choose your seat from 7 days before. However MMB just says you can pay for your seat!

Any recommendations for J seats on the 777 LHR-SIN-LHR?
Mrs drpabs is off to Singapore in J later this year, flying on a 777 both ways. Which seats should I recommend for her, given that she prefers windows. Club Suites are available both ways.
