This week Tuesday, BA250 SCL-LHR upgrade at the check-in from WT+ to CW. Not bad for AY Gold (OWS)! Very much enjoyed the upgrade, since this flight is 14+ hours long. Actually this was the second time for me to be upgraded for the same BA250 leg, previous was in June this year.

LHR to MRS from cheapo HBO fare to J. Full flight, and prior to boarding kept receiving emails to POUG from £109.

SYD to SIN on BA 16 from W to J. QF Platinum (One World Emerald).
Had an earlier connecting QF flight from ADL to SYD in Y.
Found out that I was already op-upped at check in at ADL when boarding passes of both legs were printed.

got the magical beep for myself +1 on BA 6422 CPT-JNB. quite a nice surprise as we were on avios redemptions - also my first time being upgraded with a travel companion! I would've thought those were less likely to be upgraced.

Received an OLCI upgrade directly from Y to J on a JNB-LHR redemption earlier this week - J was very empty, and very much appreciated getting 9 hours horizontal sleep!

Does it count as an upgrade when KA opens three rows of business class seats for economy while still operating business class at the front end?

21/12 BA1484 LHR-GLA, upgraded from ET to Club on a one way RFS ticket - 767 was completely full. Noticed in the lounge my seat number had changed, but class still showed as ET.

They do this on a select few routes where they don't sell business but still have a J cabin on the plane. If you phone up they will put you in the seats as Emerald. No difference in service though.

ET to CE for both of us on the BA456 (LHR - MAD) a few days ago.

Magic beep, and new boarding passes, happened whilst going trough first wing security which felt very odd as the old boarding passes were printed out only 30 seconds earlier at a first wing desk :-) Not complaining though!

Indeed they do, but they actually divided the business cabin into two, where they operated J in front as normal and released the J seats at the back for economy!

Gate upgrade to 1A on the BA8723 GLA-LCY this morning. Was in 5C with a blocked seat next to me. Flight looks pretty rammed.
