Tesco and Avios
Tesco, the major UK supermarket chain, allows you to convert Tesco Clubcard (CC) points to Avios. The standard earning rate is 1 CC point per £1 spent in store. They convert to Avios in the ratio of 1 CC point to 2.4 Avios or 2.5 Virgin miles. Every quarter, your points are converted to coupons and mailed to you - they can then be converted via the CC website to Avios or Virgin miles. Typically, it takes 1-2 working days for a conversion to BA Avios to complete.
The key to rapidly earning large amounts of Avios is the regular bonus point offers where large amounts of points can be earned. The latest are listed below and discussed within this thread.
The last period for collecting Clubcard points finished on 16 October 2014.
The last day for collecting points in the current quarter is 21 January 2015.
Topcashback (TCB)

Just a small one, especially useful if anyone who uses topcashback hasn't yet got their £50 transferred to club card points.
I was in Tesco yesterday and when I was in the queue I decided to check the topcashback "in store" offers. One is a free chocolate advent calendar up to £3. Tesco are doing two calendars for £3, so they are effectively free. If you haven't used your club card limit then when you take into account tesco boost, they are paying you to eat chocolate.
Ends on Sunday. It isn't worth a special trip, but worth picking up if you are there. It is valid in other supermarkets too.

I've just spent my lunch hour going to Kensington Superstore (which is about 8 minutes walk from Earl's Court station) and they had two pallets of the Christmas magazine. I took away...... a few, but also relieved a few copies of their voucher in-store. You may wish to check before you take a bundle away that they still have the voucher.
With the 20% off offer on gift cards at the moment, you could buy 4 x £20 Pizza Express vouchers for £64 and, in theory, get 550 Clubcard points for the purchase plus 96 Avios with the BA AmEx. With my 800 Avios for 250 CC points conversion that's 1,856 Avios + £80 to spend at Pizza Express for £64! Unfortunately the offer is only on until Sunday, otherwise you could chance your luck with a Helping Hand too!

None of the local stores where I am have the Christmas mag (it has never arrived) and IIRC last year they didn't get any either but they are awash with 3V's. I have good relations (I make them look busy) with one store and if someone could scan me in a coupon the staff will accept print-outs. Please get in touch via PM if you can help.

Would the discounted £20 (£16) Pizza Express vouchers work as the vouchers say 'when you spend £20 or more on a single gift card'?

A quick one.... Tesco Colchester Highwoods has lots of the magazines available. They're behind the checkouts, half way along. Two big bins full.

Worked for me last night in the Kensington/Earls Court store. I went there hoping to get some 3Vs but there were none left so I ended up bying a Next £20 gift card for £16 and used the bonus points voucher with no trouble. The staff had to manually override the price though it didn't automatically go down to £16. And for some reason, the staff I came across, including the supervisor, were unaware of this promotion.

Oh btw if anyone is in or near Edinburgh the Corstorphine branch of Tesco is like the holy grail. They had quite a few pallets of the magazines and at least six full pegs of 3vs. I hit them pretty hard and didn't even make a dent.
