Tesco and Avios
Tesco, the major UK supermarket chain, allows you to convert Tesco Clubcard (CC) points to Avios. The standard earning rate is 1 CC point per £1 spent in store. They convert to Avios in the ratio of 1 CC point to 2.4 Avios or 2.5 Virgin miles. Every quarter, your points are converted to coupons and mailed to you - they can then be converted via the CC website to Avios or Virgin miles. Typically, it takes 1-2 working days for a conversion to BA Avios to complete.
The key to rapidly earning large amounts of Avios is the regular bonus point offers where large amounts of points can be earned. The latest are listed below and discussed within this thread.
The last period for collecting Clubcard points finished on 16 October 2014.
The last day for collecting points in the current quarter is 21 January 2015.
Topcashback (TCB)

New coupons arrived in my account. Most notably: Triple points - thank you for being an American Express customer.
Anyone have any ideas how to get the best out of this one?
My initial thought was put 4x 3V cards through and hope for at least 3x the base points (300 points)?

Morning update: Happened to wander in after the Gift Card man had just visited. I wasn't too greedy and "just" took 10 3V cards - the person on the till said "had your friend sent you in today" so I guess there is one person who normally clears out the 3V cards - own up .
Used two money off (spend £x get £Y off) vouchers, and the magazine vouchers so, with the credit card spend and a 800 Avios per £2.50 grand-fathered rate, I got 6,100 Avios for minus £16.....

Hope someone can help.
Feeling guilty for always using my avios for holidays my other half transferred £20 worth of Tesco CC points into my BAEC account. Very nice of her except a few weeks later they still haven't gone through.
Does anyone know why this is? I've come to the conclusion it's either because it's not her BAEC account, or because I've already transferred £30 worth myself in the same month (from my CC account).
If it is because I've exceeded a transfer limit/ it's not her account, is there a way of reversing it?

But I think your best port of call is asking Tesco.

Has anyone had problems merging 3vs?. I keep getting error message to check number of source card.
I am inputting everything exactly as it asks.

As for merging problems, I've had that in the past when I've put the numbers in the wrong way around.
i.e. you click on "transfer" for a certain card and then use the 16 digit number for that card rather than the last 12 digits.

Generally the rule is that you can only transfer to your own BAEC account.
However, from my experience and also other's report here, the system seems only check the surname and address, so normally the transfer will go through fine if your share the same surname and address.
Since it has been 2 weeks, it is probably best ask your other half to call Tesco to enquire.
