Good choice ^

Nice to see you being so decisive ... eventually

Flying back from JFK in just over a week and, thanks to an attempted but now aborted, change to my ticket my previous nice UD window seat has been "reallocated" (i.e. nabbed by another lucky traveller). Only seats left are aisle & middle seats downstairs. Much as I hate aisle seats, would one of these be better for me than a middle seat?

best j seats on 777-300

we are flying out from lax in apr on BA278 and there is a row 16 in J which i assume means the -300.
i know there is so far limited experience on these , but what are the most desirable seats if anyone has any knowledge or flown one of these new birds?
We are currently booked in the first row of J but there are many so far unclaimed seats on the seat map, so it would be easy to change on MMB.

Don't have the front row if you like a window, they are missing two windows in the 10A and K seats. I prefer row 11' in front of the engines so quieter and still a window to look out of.

Avoid row 16... All toilets for the J cabin are at the back, so you have the noise of the toilets and the people waiting for them too...

777 ease of getting to Club Kitchen

we have booked in May a trip to LAS via LAX (extra 15 TP LAX/LAS) needed for Gold!!).

Downside is that its the dorm to LAX - the earlier flight at 9ish. We are in 16 k/j the seats we used to get before the 747 was introduced for LAS. Although having just seen BingBongBoy's comments may have to reasses this row for the LAX - we were okay with these seats on the LAS old 777 config.

Now I'm not even sure its the same 777 config for LAX than the one they used for LAS, but simple question please help!

Can we easily get to Club Kitchen from 16 k/j - i.e. walk in front of the first row or will we have to go through the galley ? Its the LAX config.

Thanks - it will help us decide if we should stick with k/j or move to a/b.

Just booked flights to LHR to JFK, 747 both ways and on both legs 62K and 64K were available

Never had the luck to have flown in either so thought why not try both.... have selected 62k on outbound (daytime) and 64k on inbound i.e. the overnight to LHR, unless of course anyone here thinks it should be the other way round? I'm just under 6'0" height

Well done!! I would suggest reversing the sequence, though. In 64K overnight you are going to experience some light and noise disturbance from the Galley and the lavatory door.

6ft exactly

Many thanks! in retrospect, adding my height at the end must have looked a bit personal ad-ish but was more so people could judge whether the legroom in the seats I had chosen was sufficient (honestly )

I have swapped them round as suggested, the combination of less noise from WC, cooler conditions and more legroom should make for a nice restful flight back as I believe it is also a sleeper service (BA114)

I beg to differ. 64A will get these problems, but 64K won't.

64K is as private as it gets on the UD, no toilet light at all!

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

64K is a horrible seat. No one should ever select it.

767-300 Seats 4A / 4K?

On BA163 from LHR to TLV (767-300), if sitting in seats 4A or 4K, is it possible to "squish" behind 4B or 4J and thereby avoid having to step over someone? That has worked for me in the past in some instances on the UD of the 747.

Thanks.

4K

Or try 1A, or any of the centre pairs
