The latest version (2010) of the First cabin (termed "Prime" internally by British Airways, or "New First") is available on all 4-class 777s and all 747s.
An newer evolution (2013) of the First seat (Prime+) is found on all A380s, and a newer version still (2015) is available on all 787-9s.
The older version of the First cabin (termed "Classic" internally by British Airways, or "Old First") has now been withdrawn.
747 information updated to 31 March 2016. Last change: withdrawal of G-BNLF, the last OF aircraft

If you can take BA53 out of SEA it's a 772 so you are guaranteed NF. I'm one of those people who prefer NF on the 772 over the 744 especially the K seats. However if you have never sat in the nose of the 744 before it's worth it as long as you can get the first few window seat rows. I assume you are traveling alone.

I have sat in the nose on other carriers.
Yes, I am alone, and I can fly out of SEA, YVR, SFO... whatever offers the better F experience.
SEA sounds like a great option.

Hi,
I just booked LHR-LAS in january 2015 (BA0275/BA0274). There were no F class available in spite of being a 747 aircraft. Is this because BA no longer sells old first seats? Surely should not been sold out on this early date? (Club will do of course, but a little strange.)
Any thoughts?

Were you looking for cash tickets or award tickets? I see availability of F9 on every BA275 in January. So there should have been availability for a cash ticket every day, even if the price might have been .

I think it may depend on how fast it gets into the system. I had an email confirmation waiting for me when I landed last time. I was on the 207 back today filled in the form as usual but not received any automated response so far.

I was trying to book in A with cash. Seems like only F was available. Thanks for your help.
