Once you apply for a BA AMEX or BA AMEX PP how long does it take to get posted to you?

When I did it recently it took about two weeks to receive the card after applying.

Call them and ask. I know they can be delivered to their office and you can pick it up from there.

Gold Card

I applied for and used the gold card several months ago and closed my account when I'd had all the MRs. As I'm now getting bombarded with sales bumf telling me to apply again, will I get the joining bonus again as my previous card's closed (and according to the Amex website I don't seem to have a MR account) or will I be wasting my time and money?

I thought I'd ask here in case anyone knew before phoning Amex up and and seeing what they have to say...

Thanks,
Shakers

Now reversed, without any action on my part.

The same voucher is on http://www.selfridges.com/en/StaticP...masComesEarly/ but I note there is a different bar code.

Also, neither one says that you have to spend on BA Amex.

20% does sound good though, I expect it will be packed.

Indeed. The link I posted came from BA AmEx, but the T+Cs don't restrict use to BA AmEx cardholders.

It's in the MSE newsletter now, so stand back and batten down the hatches!

Angry

Has anyone else received a leaflet in the post from Amex about the change to Avios with new T&C for the BA PP card?!

It says you now need £15,000 to get the free companion voucher, and you now only 1.25 Avios per £1 you spend.

Only had the card for 3 months now, and if the changes come into effect in my first year I'll probably won't be able to reach a £15k target I am not pleased!!!

Despite this there is no mention of these changes on the amex website!

Sorry if this has been posted before, just need to vent!!

Are you sure it refers to the Premium Plus card and not the Premium card (which is no longer available)?

I can't remember the earning rates for the Premium card, but £15,000 pa and 1.25 per £1 sit exactly between the Premium Plus rates and the standard card rates (£20,000 pa and 1 per £1).

Thanks Globaliser on a second look they do refer to the Premium card (which I forgot even existed). As to why Amex are sending literature about an old card with Avios then is anyones guess

Panic over! (for now!) ^

I can't remember what happened to people who had Premium cards. It may be that some still have them, even though they aren't available any more to new applicants.

I received my Amex invite to the Edinburgh Harvey nichols Xmas party today. Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately from my husbands perspective) the party was yesterday!
