Two to tell you about.

CMH
Preferred
Booked: Full
Received: Toyota FJ Cruiser
(needed a 4-door so requested a vehicle change)
Received: Ford Edge with about 8k miles w/ Sirius Working (although kept saying it's expired)

CMH
Preferred
Rented: Full Class
Received: Ford Mustang Premier with about 1500 miles. Working Sirius

Now a question, I had initially reserved the 2nd rental for a week (renting tuesday, returning sunday). But work ended early and I returned the car friday night instead. I was still charged the full week. Is that normal? I may run into issues with my company expenses as I'm only allowed up to full-size cars. Even though the receipt says vehicle charged is Full Size, the appearance of the "Cool Cars" right underneath it might not go well with my accounting department. Anything I can do now?

3k miles, working XM radio.
A little update on this rental. XM Radio deactivated on the second day.

On the way to return the car I stopped for gas. Could not get the fuel door open. I looked for a release button, but couldn't find it. Made sure doors were unlocked, still wouldn't pop open. Went in the rear compartment to look for the emergency release pull-tab, couldn't find it.

Returned the car and explained what happened. They put a charge of $13.99 on my receipt for a fuel charge. The guy said I would have to go to the counter to have it removed. Went in to the preferred desk and told them what happened (as I was literally running to catch my flight). They said they would email me the new receipt with the charge removed. Got the new receipt and it was straightened out, but this was the first time that I haven't been able to open a fuel door. Very odd.

Did you try pushing on both sides of the fuel door? It took me forever to realize a Charger opened by just pushing on the corner of the fuel door (in a freezing rain storm) a few years ago. It was the first one I'd seen like that.

I've seen this a few times on Fords/Lincolns now. Odd but I won't complain that it worked!

I don't know your accounting department, but you should be just fine by it showing you were charged for a Full Size. Many free upgrades happen and they are if they don't realize/understand that.

As for the full week, it will depend on your rate code. Some rates have minimum charges (or maximum) of X Time, and it should be listed on your contract from the location when you got the car. Also, I've seen some places where 4 days = a week so this could also be the case.

I tried everything short of getting a screwdriver and prying the door open.

LYS

Presidents Club
Reserved compact
Received Nissan Juke DCI

Nice car, Bluetooth audio and phone and USB. ^

The Nav system said there was no map card installed, but it alerted me accurately each time I came upon a radar camera. Weird.

Hmm, that doesn't seem like much of an upgrade?

Not really, but considering that I used the SUV special rate, which was much cheaper than the regular car rates, I think it was ok considering the options that they had. They also had two Yukons I could have grabbed, but didn't want the gas guzzlers.
