As you might expect it was somewhat overly conservative in slowing the car, but even with that I never got past the point of not having my foot hovering over the brake pedal just in case.

BUT as soon as I climbed in, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. So I tried exchanging it, but they said that the best car they could give me was a Chevy Impala!?! I inquired about a '13 MKT sitting on the end of the line with no reservation folder in it, but they said they were holding it for the Labor Day weekend. Argh.
I guess I'll try and swap it tomorrow morning.
Update: They were short on cars this morning, but gave me a Chrysler 300.

MSY has been great to me, usually frequent them twice monthly for 3-4 days each.
Flying into STL tomorrow and have read terrible things about their upgrades, so I booked luxury and am hoping they can find a way to put a PC in a BMW or similar up from a CTS, we shall see...

The selections was terrible during a peak business travel day after Labor Day, no seats on bus. Only few cars sparked my interested, they let me took the only Volvo S60 on the lot, Chevy Impalas gone wild on the lot. Only luxury/specialties I saw was two BMW X5s and I didn't even bother try to upgrade myself into those.

Exchanged for Ford Escape w/ 100 miles on it.
They had a 12-15 BMW's but wouldn't budge on the $75 up charge so I just took the Escape from the exchange aisle. I only booked with Avis because the AA 3k bonus miles was extended but my receipt did not show any miles earned like it has at other locations.
