Did you try pushing on both sides of the fuel door? It took me forever to realize a Charger opened by just pushing on the corner of the fuel door (in a freezing rain storm) a few years ago. It was the first one I'd seen like that.

I've seen this a few times on Fords/Lincolns now. Odd but I won't complain that it worked!

Now a question, I had initially reserved the 2nd rental for a week (renting tuesday, returning sunday). But work ended early and I returned the car friday night instead. I was still charged the full week. Is that normal? I may run into issues with my company expenses as I'm only allowed up to full-size cars. Even though the receipt says vehicle charged is Full Size, the appearance of the "Cool Cars" right underneath it might not go well with my accounting department. Anything I can do now?
I don't know your accounting department, but you should be just fine by it showing you were charged for a Full Size. Many free upgrades happen and they are if they don't realize/understand that.

As for the full week, it will depend on your rate code. Some rates have minimum charges (or maximum) of X Time, and it should be listed on your contract from the location when you got the car. Also, I've seen some places where 4 days = a week so this could also be the case.
