Exactly what I was going to say, MKX and Edge are identical vehicles with same dimensions, MKX have a few more upscale features and amenities. Maybe he was referring to Explorer.

I'll say it does! I thought I must have been high because while I had the cruise control on the car kept slowing down as I approached another car. I thought I was going 100 and then cars were passing me. I looked down at the speedometer and I was only doing 85. That happened several times before I clued myself in to one of the MKX's features. This thing has a forward radar! Actually it has radar on all four sides as I finally realized. There is a gap control for the forward radar, but even the farthest setting was too close for me so I had to start my passing move very early to keep speed.

Swapped: walked the lot, didn't see anything interesting, so I took a '12 Maxima.
They had a bunch of '12 Mustangs and a '12 Mustang GT though.

Yeah, I've never had this feature on any of the Linc's yet.. I'm hoping to get one with it and try it out.

I've tried it and it is calibrated quite nicely. No need for gas or brake on highways! A strip of red LEDs on top of dashboard will also warn you if you are following a vehicle too closely, similar to the ones for Volvo.

Yes it is nice if you are following a car in the left lane and cannot pass anyways. No need to touch any pedal as the car will slow down and speed up on its own. But like I said when you need to pass someone, you need to move left very early to avoid the radar slowing you down. And you have to get VERY close for those forward red lights to flash. It only happened to me once after a week and 1000km.

I haven't posted here for a while. Most of my recent rentals have been at DEN. Booked C class and Rxed, Infinity FX35, BMW X3, BMW X5. At SAT booked a C class and Rxed a Crysler (loaded) 300M.

LAX
PC
Booked: Full Size
Given: Ford Explorer
Requested: Infiniti or BMW sedan
Received: Infiniti G37
Pretty crazy how LAX hoards BMWs, there were 5 (3 series, 5 series, and X3) parked around my G37 and they wouldn't upgrade me without an upcharge

Location: BOS, 2:30am Sunday (and very tired)
Status: President's Club
Booked: Full Size (E)
Given: Nothing. Initially tried to upsell me to BMW 5 for $17 / day
Requested: Lincoln MKT that I thought I saw in parking lot.
Received: Heavy-handed sales pitch. Told me that maybe he could give me a Town Car, which I didn't want. Finally settled on BMW X5, bargained down to $7 / day.

JAX (one way to TPA)
CHM
Booked: Intermediate
Given: Hyundai Genesis (V6)
A little disappointed I was given the Genesis when the M37 was on the lot. I suspect the one-way rental has something to do with it, this car is probably TPA's. I had been looking forward to trying the Genesis as I had always read good things about it, but the car has not impressed me. The look and feel seems cheap and (according to my wife) the back seat is not very comfy.
Also, it doesn't drive or feel like a luxury sporty car. I dunno how to explain it, but in a Bimmer or Benz or Infinity when I take my foot off the gas at 80 it slows down immediately. This car coasts more like a Camry. Dunno if it is the 8 speed transmission thing or what.

Slowing "slower" is a good thing when you step off the gas... it's rolling further and getting better fuel economy.
