Farmers Insurance and Sears have always been the 2 best codes for me.

A113400 State of Florida code

Has anyone here used the A113400 State of Florida code that is not a resident of Florida? This is giving me a great rate for a March weekend in Ft lauderdale, but would like to ensure I am not going to asked for any type of state ID.

Thanks

CitiCorp AWD Code (A074800 )

I used this code yesterday (A074800 ) to book a car rental for late March. The code worked and I have a confirmation with a great rate, however, I was doing some shopping today and the Avis web site said that the code was no longer valid. Do you think that I will have any problems when i go to pick up my car or beacuse I have the confirmation should I be okay?

Just have to say this is a really amazing forum!
need to rent a car in florida for 3 week days. I tried using the L093590 code on avis but it isn't showing that LWD is included on the online reservation....

Would this be something that should show up online or will it only show up at
the counter.

Would really love to use a code that includes some of the insurance options as even though I've found some lower rates using other codes, the coverage adds up to be more than the car rental.

It will not show up on the reservation. It's part of the negotiated contract for the AWD#. L093590 has free LDW. Trust me..I've had to use it unfortunately. But if you have an Amex card, I strongly recommend also buying their Premium Rental insurance for $19.95 per rental, as a backup. In your case that would come to about $.95 cents per day.

What have your experiences been using the Farmers insurance:A972200 code?

Has anyone ever had any problem or been asked for ID when using this code?

Since search this thread doesn't seem to work at all, does anyone know any codes that work in south america? Looking for something for argentina

Hi I used one of the AWD code for Deloittes (A442100) mentioned in this thread and it gave me about 50% off the rate for a Toyota RAV4 for 7 days hire in NZ compared to the rate for Entertainment Book members, which is fantastic. Just wondering if they need proof that I am entitled to use the AWD code?

Thanks

Great code, thanks!

Does anyone know of current double-upgrade coupons or deals? I reserved a full size and would like some coupon help to bump me to a Prius :)

I stopped working at Deloitte in June 2005, though the AWD is still in my profile and I have been enjoying the benefits of the discounts for the past 2+ years.

Without exaggeration, I have used this code over 100 times and NEVER had a problem or questions asked of me.

Likewise, although I can't say over a hundred times (I switched to Avis in October 07) I can say this is the most common AWD code used for me for personal travel and have never even had an eyebrow raised

I check this code first 99% of the time on personal travel.

AWD "L" code changed to G417900 code

I have no idea why... but the reliable "L" code has been changed to G417900
Rates and free LDW still the same. Still no I.D. I think it may have improved international rates, but I'm really not too familiar with that. Just appears that way. Maybe EZmoney or somebody knows why a company AWD would change?

A113400 State of Florida code - Bump

Bumping this question on the code below. Any non-resident of FL use this code in FL lately? It is $40 less for a weekend rental than the cheapest AWD I can find. Sorry for the repeat!

Has anyone here used the A113400 State of Florida code that is not a resident of Florida? This is giving me a great rate for a March weekend in Ft lauderdale, but would like to ensure I am not going to asked for any type of state ID.

Thanks

I would make a backup reservation with avis or other companies if you are going to try that.

I got shot down trying to use an avis code before thru some company. They asked for ID and wouldnt honor the rate..instead they jacked it up by 300+ dollars..haha..ended up using alamo and getting it just as cheap:)

make sure to check out thrifty and see if you get good rates with 'wildcar' promo...you get a midsize or larger for pretty cheap and if you are friendly with the agent they may even get you into an suv/van if they have stock.

It's a great discount but is ID required?

Can you explain what the "reliable "L" code was?
LO93590??

It's just a very old code from this site that I happen to use all the time. It gives consistantly very competitive rates, and never a hassle with I.D., etc.
I just don't like to shop 5 or 6 codes everytime I rent, and I find that I can't go wrong with this code (now G417900). It's never been the absolute, rock bottom lowest for every rental, but I've used it hundreds of times and I feel comfortable enough that I'm getting pretty close to the best value that can be had. I also like the free LDW.

bandito Mar 15, 2008 7:12 pm

Hey Bob, I have putting in various codes and came up with a better discount than the one you listed BUT your code ends up being cheaper IF it includes LDW. When you pick up the car is there anything that we, as the customer can see, that shows that it, in fact, covers LDW.

I am worried about having an accident and then Avis saying, OOPS, contact your human resources dept.

The insurance is always a concern for me too. I have been using the Amex Premium rental insurance for $19.95 per rental. For me, since my rentals are always several days, it's only a few bucks a day for primary coverage.
If you search hard enough, you can always find a code that is a couple bucks cheaper than another for a particular rental. I just choose to find a reliable code, that works well with no hassle, and stick with it. LDW is not shown on the agreement. If your uncomfortable, I'd stick with the cheapest code you can find, and buy the insurance.

If you book online, you will see the LDW endorsement on the final confirmation page. You'll also see it in the identical "Real-Time Reservation Confirmation" email they send.

I just made two identical reservations - one using the Car & Driver AWD (A074800) and one with the Citicorp Leisure Travel AWD (A074800). The base rates were within a dollar, as were the approximate totals shown. Yet under the "Rate Information" section, the Citicorp one shows "Elected Coverages: $25.99 USD" (the rate for LDW) and "Mileage: Unlimited" whereas the C&D reservation shows only "Mileage: Unlimited". For the extra $1, I like the Citicorp rate with LDW a lot better! :D

I'm sorry, but I'm missing your point. Does that mean that you have elected to accept the additional coverage at $25.99 per day? Or is it included at no charge? Free LDW is normally a feature negotiated in the contract for each individual company, and does not show on the rental agreement. It's not something you can accept or decline on a per rental basis. You may be absolutely correct, but I'm wondering why your agreement say's you "elected to take the coverage @ $25.99? Why is the cost there at all if it is at no charge?

I just made a one day reservation in MIA with Avis using the Citicorp code. Came it at half of what was available at the general reservation sites (Expedia, Orbitz, etc) and $30 less than the Avis site itself for a one way rental from MIA to PBI. Thanks for posting.

Is A074800 C&D or citicorp? both of the above show the same AWD

Worked perfectly for me today, and saved over 40% on a week rental in Florida. I was astounded...

Thank you!!

I rented cars last October in Brasil, and an international DL was not required. As with most parts of the world, your 'home' licence was valid for use for a certain period ~ as I recall 6 or 12 months. Cannot speak for ARG though.

Busted?

This is a great thread.

Has anyone ever had any problems using an Avis code? For example, using a Costco code without a Costco membership, or using a Netjets code without a Netjet?

Eric95403 Mar 24, 2008 12:03 am

Has anyone figured out what/where the P400000 AWD comes from? It's mentioned as a Tourism Association. Got the best rate w/ this code (picking up in MIA), but it doesn't look like anyone has figured it out. Just curious.

notsosmart Mar 25, 2008 11:02 am

lhmpdx and Eric95403 welcome to FlyerTalk! :)

If you do a search (search box located on the top header of the page), you will find existing threads on most questions/topics.

FYI, I was hassled once at HNL by an agent with a very poor attitude who questioned my membership in some athletic association.

It happened once out of about 100 rentals with Avis.

Thanks for the reply, but I did a search and nobody either replied to the questions re: P400000 or they tossed out the "tourism association" tag. Since I booked a reservation w/ this code, just curious if anyone knew what it belonged too.
