Unfortunately I can confirm this for european rentals with D005927, after 08AUG the discount disappeared.
I recall that this happened last year too. Normally I pay £ 67.20 for an intermediate for 4 days at my regular rental station but during the summer season it was a ridiculous £ 42. By the way if any one is renting in Spain ( AGP ) use code A432123. D005591 & D005297 amounts to £ 128 for a compact for a week but A432123 brings it down to £ 106.50. I have used this code in the past it is safe. I believe it is some FF code. If any one has better code to lower the price at AGP please share it with us. Cheers |

I recently received an email stating I have a free weekend rental from all the past rentals I've done. When I tried to use it, I got an error stating that the code was used by me too many times, when I hadn't even used it once!! Has anyone else gotten this error?? :td:

I got a very reliable confirmation from an inside guy that this code is black listed now. Effective immedately, all benfits associated with code are removed(including free LDW insurance), anyone use this code will pay maxiumum rack rate regardless of reservation or website showing rate as well as company ID must be produced. A warning flag has been raised on this AWD and most likely you will be questioned about where you got the code. All in all, this code is nothing but trouble from now on. Oh well, it was great while it lasted. |
What organisations do C031529 and A074800 belong to?
|
A074800 - Citi Financial , the other one couldn't find any info
Here is the link where you can find out about the codes http://www.avis.com/AvisWeb/html/bridge/go.ex?K024300 , add your code after the ? |
Came across a glitch on the website and couldn't make the reservation I was attempting, so called the CHM desk. They made it no problem at the same price. I noticed an AWD # I hadn't seen before, though... K444404. It didn't give me a better price than my own usual AWD #, but I also haven't seen it referenced before. Thoughts?

Does anyone know of any dicount codes for a 2-day weekend rental in London for September? I've had great discounts with D005927 before but it no longer works! :(

Discount Codes in France
Looking for a two or three day rental of an intermediate vehicle, with pickup in downtown Paris and return to CDG, in late September. Here's what I found using the AWD's listed:
2-day rental -- D005297, D005150, D087633, & A674600: 198.06 EUR all in. A432123: 157.40 EUR all in. 3-day rental -- D005297, D005150, D087633, & A674600: 204.19 USD all in. A432123: 171.80 USD all in. So, AWD432123 gives the better rate in both cases, and a three day rental is cheaper than a two day! |

Avis discount code in Italy
For the past 2-3 years I have been using D005591 and D005927 for Avis car rental in Italy for anything between 3 day rentals and 3 week rentals. I always received 40% discount with these codes. I need to rent cars in October and November and these codes now only give a 10% discount. Does anyone have any new codes, as I rent in Italy about 8 per annum?

I never use the MJ code, my own corporate code always does just as well and that's what my profile defaults to. In fact, in this case my corporate code should be pulling the same rate with unlimited miles while this one is only offering 100 miles/day. Weird. |

K444404 - Good Rate, however, I'm experiencing the milage limitation also.
USE CAUTION - 100 Miles and NO MORE - otherwise + $.28 per mile! |
I guess 'cause they figure anyone using it will fly private for distances > 100 miles? :p

For renting in Germany in gets you a Premium car for as low as 232,07 Euros , unlim kilometers and CDW and TP incl. for 7 days.
For Fri - Mon weekend rental its al mere 93,59 euros. (same conditions as above). Country of residence: Germany, all others get "stupid" prices!! Reffering to K444404 AWD!! |
The A432123 seems to do better in Spain ( AGP )too . Rate for a weekly Medium Compact without AWD £ 142 and with 432123 £ 106.50.

Awd D0059027
A quick thank you and to confirm that I have just completed 7 days in the Algarve (Faro) using D0059027 to get 40% discount on a Group N car with no problems or questions..
And by joining the Avis Prefered program before I went, they bent over backwards to look after me and get me out the door quickly, beating the queues and got a free upgrade to a car with GPS.. Very impressed, thanks! |
Even Better Codes!
Sept 7, 2007 I used 2 codes: AWD A514190 and CPN TUSA012 If you use Apple I Tunes, you'll get a download credit as well.^
|
I experienced the following:
When I booked the car I got a AWD warning, but I followed through. When I went to the Preferred booth at BRU the rental was "counter" and did not have my wizard number. When the agent entered my wizard number it applied my default AWD. So, you now have to change your AWD in the profile to not have complications. |

O387100 (10% worldwide through avis.co.uk)
O387100 is the only code that works for my upcoming UK trip (10%). Better than nothing.
Good codes appear to be few & far between at the moment. Gone are the heady days of D005591 40% goodness :( |
Will it be troubles?
Suppose I use AWD K444404 and get best price on rent, ID is not checked. So I drive a car and get into an car accident. AVIS checks the agreement, asks for ID for the code and Collision Damage Waiver won't work. Can it be or not?

These codes can provide steep discounts, but are not without risk - just be aware of this before using them. |

This is an incredible code - do you have to present a coupon at time of rental. Are there any hidden "gotchas'" with this code and/or coupon? |

K444404
Has anyone used this code (K444404) successfully without being asked for an ID? I am planning a trip to Costa Rica and this code give unlimited mileage with a rate that is 50% cheaper than the regular rate. I want to use it, but I don't want to wind up getting shot down at the counter.
Any help/advice is much appreciated. |

Contract with AVIS not valid?

These codes can provide steep discounts, but are not without risk - just be aware of this before using them. Are you saying that if you use a code which you are not entitled to use the contract with AVIS is not valid and the collision damage waiver does not apply in the event of damage or an accident? Interested to know as have been using codes with no problem but am worried now! |
