I might be missing something here but isn't the point of the group to get access to the AWD that you are not eligible for?
To answer your previous question, the email is used mostly to cross-reference eligible addresses. You aren't likely to be required to confirm anything but it's on you if you are asked to do so. Example: Allstate employees should be using emails such as [email protected], which would match with an approved domain list and satisfy the 'private' AWD requirement. But, if an agent uses [email protected] for some reason, they wouldn't be eligible for the rate despite being an employee. It's a bad way to check eligibility and not foolproof. |

Was provided a coupon for one class upgrade in the US and Canada, happy to share. UUCA019. Was told, it works during all 2023 in a combination with my small business discount, AWD J323400; if it gives you a better rate - you are welcome to use it, no corporate ID required. PM if any questions, always happy to help flyertalkers - as I was helped a lot myself 😃
-- one car group upgrade on an intermediate (group C) through a full-size four-door (group E) car. Maximum upgrade to premium (group G), excluding intermediate SUV (group F). -- Offer valid on daily, weekend, weekly and monthly rates only. Valid at participating Avis locations in the contiguous U.S., Canada, U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. A 24-hour advance reservation is required. Upgrade will be applied at vehicle pick-up time.

Was told it is Cityflex discount - mean it gives maximum discount in a number of a largest US cities and works the best on a long rentals. |

Does anyone know about KOA - Kona? I always use the preferred "go straight to car" to avoid having to see anyone who could ask for an ID, but the KOArental site requires dealing with a person. Curious about whether they ask for corporate ID there.

Can someone identify this AWD: A648300
If you go to https://www.avis.com/en/bridge/partn...chairmans-club it shows up in the email subject line when you select "click here." EDIT: It appears to be used for those who are a part of The World Residences at Sea. |

Help with code
Does anyone know this code?
B257500 It was already populated when I made a booking but the price was crazy good. I would like to believe that it’s some sort of marketing code since I didn’t enter it myself but I also don’t want to risk any disputes. Can anyone help? thank you! |
J323400
Thank you for this code! Used it at the beginning of February at MCO and had no issues. Had to show my license at the preferred counter as it was my first time using Avis and they didn’t ask any questions. Was able to combine with an upgrade coupon and got an SUV for $275 for a week which was a great deal!

I got this for J323400:
We are unable to process your request at this time. Please return to the Homepage and start your process again or use the Worldwide Phone Number List to find your Avis Customer Service telephone number. Not sure if it was related. I was also applying points too. Daily rate without AWD was $87 and it dropped to $53. My old corp rate was $31. |
Last summer I had a monthly rental reserved at a non-airport location. I had used the leisure rate for a company that I consult for. They wanted ID. So I wound up with an AWD that the agent offered for 20% more per day (high 30s) but no weekly or monthly discount. For my old corp AWD one month was charged as 20 days, so in the end it cost $1500 with tax vs less than $800. I asked how much one day rental was with this AWD and it amounted to like $100 with tax. I decided to return it after one day at the airport where the AWD was automatic (before the email thing) and grabbed another car. The car that I got off airport was also quite nasty with extensive body damage. I expected that I would be charged $100 but I only paid 1/30th of the rate, around $50 total.
So people might be able to use this to their advantage. Rent for a month for short term rentals. p.s. This company is very strict about using their AWD (non leisure that includes insurance) for business rentals when consulting for them for liability I assume. How would one do that now with the email requirement? Would it work if I gave the email of a contact at the company? I haven't worked for them for a while. |
try to use laptop version, not the app. it works great when you are using just the AWD or
coupon, but I’m always in trouble with the app when I’m applying points or free day. Seems like its the glitch with the app. But it works when I use a regular website. Hope it will help.

The app will also ignore that pesky email requirement for a lot of corporate AWDs. Just something I noticed.

AWD J323400
Has anyone had any joy using this in the US with a UK driving licence/booking? Potentially halves the rate when I look at the website, but don't want to get caught out at the counter (or to mess up DIM's account).

Hello, can someone tell me what the requirements are for using AWD 486606?
I am not a resident of the USA or Canada and I think that might be a requirement, but I'm not sure. It popped up in a pop-up window of the Couper discount application. I have asked Avis customer service several times to inform me about the terms and conditions and they have given me all kinds of responses, from it being an invalid code to it being a code I can use without any problem. Although the most common responses are ones that don't answer my question and only tell me how to enter the code in the banner. The AWD works, I have done several simulations and it offers an interesting 15% discount on the total price. Thank you very much for your answers |
Could you tell me what AWD is for non-residents in the USA or Canada, which offers a greater discount and does not require membership in any program (or if it is a requirement, can be obtained for free and without the need to be a resident of the USA or Canada) for a rental in the USA?
Thank you very much. |

Thank you very much. Although there might be some AWDs that are only available to residents of certain countries, many AWDs require some type of affiliation, such as being an employee of a certain company, or an alumnus of a particular college or university (regardless of where one resides). Some time ago, a U.K. resident who received his graduate degree at a particular school in the U.S. discovered that he was permitted to utilize his school's contract code for a leisure rental with National Car Rental in the U.S.; he realized substantial savings on the rental. If you would need full insurance coverage (loss/damage waiver and $1,000,000 third-party liability coverage), you should price a rental on your home country's Avis website; you might find a very favorable all-inclusive rate there, compared to what you might find if you priced the rental on Avis' U.S. site. In addition, if you book your airfare and car rental together through your airline's "vacation" site, you might get a very good deal that way, too. Good luck! |

In fact, the price from Avis in my country is much cheaper than the price from Avis.com for the same reservation. There are AWD that can be used in the USA by people who do not have their residence in the USA or Canada. If I have to become a member of, for example, an airline points program or similar, there would be no problem. On the avis website for my country I can also use AWD and that is exactly what I want. If possible with a 15% discount on the final price (I already have the 10% discount). |
Hello - I have been using a great corporate code that did not include LDW for a few years now from a former employer. Beginning this week, I noticed that it now will autoselect LDW and I can't remove (used to put on my Chase Sapphire). Does anyone have a similar experience and know if this can be removed manually to put on my Sapphire instead? Thank you.

Dim. I have made a booking using this code - the rates are great! Is there an expectation that I need to share some ID to be eligible for this? Or is it open to anyone? Thanks |

All: back to the subject of the thread...
Since this was first brought to my attention last year I've been in a precarious limbo in between being retiree explicitly entitled to use my previous employers non-work related AWD - which has been attached to my Preferred Profile for decades - and the new policy. I have rented several times over the last year at a variety of locations, both airport and off-airport. I've dreaded these encounters because as I was formerly labor, not management, I was never issued either a company email nor a business card. I don't carry the bureaucracy of my entire life with me when on vacation, nor do I think that should be expected. When I've asked ex employer benefits about this I was told, point blank: "you didn't merit an email or business card while working and you're not getting one now." But back when I joined many car rental preferred customer programs I was issued a membership card emblazoned with my name, account number, and corporate status. I have presented this card on top of my license and credit card at the counter and have not been challenged for anything else. I'm glad I held on to those things because I recall thinking I had lost one a few years ago and when I asked AVIS customer service to send me another I was told "we don't issue physical cards anymore." |
