If an account really wanted to get the actual details they can. Car rental vendors support integration to T&E applications such as Concur.

Question about additional driver. I am Avis President member. Can my wife also drive the Avis rental that is only in my name or I have to manually select " additional driver" and then go to the Avis counter at the parking lot in MCO to have her name added? We can't imagine wasting 1 hour at MCO Avis rental parking lot counter.
I have Avis rental at MCO in August. Also any most recent discount code that worked? |

Most agents will insist Presidents Club does not receive a free additional driver - but there is a service code for them to use that waives the fee 2. You will need to go to the counter with your spouse and their driver's license to check-in and get added manually Someone else with more knowledge about Avis policy will need to check if that process is waived for immediate family residing at the same address as the primary renter. I did this multiple times when I needed to add my mother to my rental contract, but she resides at a different address so we needed to visit the counter every time. |

As per US rental agreement, you do not need to do anything for a spouse (licensed and over 25 years old) to operate the rental vehicle.

Is there any recent feedback on using citigroup leisure code (A074800)?
Does it require id/employment verification? |

Was told it is Cityflex discount - mean it gives maximum discount in a number of a largest US cities and works the best on a long rentals. In case of any issue (car crash, etc.) I'm wondering if Avis would look into us using your code as we don't have any relation to it. Does it allow you to share freely to anyone outside your business? |
I have a friend who has a corporate CDP for Avis and I'm renting a car from Avis. Can I use his CDP code and rent the car? He will also be on the contract as an additional driver? Is this allowed? Can there be any insurance issues? Note that I already have my personal non owners insurance for liability, and Chase Sapphire to cover collision damage.
Alternatively, if the above could be a problem. Can he be the primary driver and pay by his Chase Sapphire card for collison damage (and me added as an additional driver). As far as liability insurance goes, will my personal policy still protect me or will his auto insurance policy be affected in case something goes wrong. |

Any codes that have the coveted free or discounted one way charge for international locations?
|
Is it YMMV based on agent/location on asking for proof/verification for using a AWD code? Or is there strict rules on which one they ask for?
For example, Amazon employee code (D008400) gives a great discount but it asks for corporate email address when booking. Citigroup leisure code (A074800) does not ask for corporate email address but the rates are not so great (still better than anything else except Amazon D008400). Are they both equally risky asking for proof? Or is it safe to assume citigroup wont require id? Thanks |

Thanks If you are a graduate of a U.S. college or university, have you checked to see whether your alma mater has car-rental contracts which alumni can use for leisure travel? I can usually get great rates from Avis, Budget, and Hertz on sedan rentals using my alma mater's leisure rate code. I do have an alumni email address with the alma mater's domain name, but I also bring a certified copy of my transcript along -- showing conferral of a degree -- when I rent, to prove my status as an alumnus if asked. The rate codes which alumni can use tend to be limited to those from private colleges/universities. |

I would not make any such assumption.

OK. But just make sure that Avis with your stacked offer yields a better deal than your alma mater rate without the Amex offer. ;)

If you have Amazon Prime you get Amazon Benefits. Very good rate plus 10% back in the form of a Amazon gift card. This is not an employee corp rate.

B257500 It was already populated when I made a booking but the price was crazy good. I would like to believe that it’s some sort of marketing code since I didn’t enter it myself but I also don’t want to risk any disputes. Can anyone help? thank you! |

Hi, did you ever find out what this code was for? I recieved the same code on a rental automatically when I was intending to use Amazon Benefits for the Prime Day deal. This is the only reference to this discount I could find online.
The rate is OK, but twice the price of some corporate rates. |

Hey guys,
Does anyone recognize Avis AWD A271500? It seemingly waives underage fees, no one way way drop fees, LDW, added driver & gives a solid discount. I called Avis customer care and they all said something else. some said it was a corporate AWD and some said it was a Avis small business AWD- not sure of the difference. I would appreciate any help as I found zero information online. thanks |

AARP is usually pretty good for these: A359866. You do need your member number also.
I used to use the amazon employee discount which takes off 66%, but now you need an email address. It was glorious for like 5 years to where you actually pay a normal rate. No idea how Amazon employees get normal rates and all of us pay 3 times as much. But if you are going to use AARP, you get the same car cheaper through budget.com and get the same insurance and perks like free 2nd drivers. Basically AVIS is dead now. You wont ever get a cheaper price on avis. |

This one is the best I can find for ORD. The nice part is that AARP code gives you free insurance that covers 100% damage with a $5K deductible.

I told him I’d send it via email and now I don’t know what to do. Can they ask for it after the contract is signed and completed? What would he have done if I said I don’t have one?
I don’t plan on using the code again in the future (so don’t offer that solution in this case) but don’t know what to do now in this situation. I was thinking of saying I got fired while on vacation and no longer have access to my email and was locked out with no notice. I’m worried if when I return the car and the agent asks for it and I don’t have it, what the result could be. |
Question about the amazon code, my friend works for amazon. If he does the booking, can I be added as an additional driver for our leisure trip? And it includes cdw?

trip report on J323400
used at SLC, insane rate, free upgrade and included LDW Got a text message with car info on it so didn't even need to talk to anyone - just scanned QR code from app and left (in reality though when I arrived I got another text saying the car in the first text was no longer available, but talked to someone at the service desk and got another upgrade!) 10/10 |

Hello all, new person here but have been reading for awhile, curious to this situation
I booked an Avis rental on Costco travel and it added it to my Avis account, now I can see the discount and awd codes the Costco uses If I go to Avis site and punch in those codes, I can get an even better rate with the pay now option instead of pay at counter rate which seems to match the costco price What would you do? Cancel and rebook with these codes or keep the existing reservation, would I potentially get my rental rejected at time of pickup? Nevermind - found I can modify my reservation on Avis and change to paynow and get the same pricing |

A word of warning about using AWD codes you are not entitled to use. I have rented many times with Avis using a discount code associated with an education institution without issues.... All the way up until I had an accident in a rental car. Part of the AWD code was a reduction in the insurance deductible from $5000 down to $100. The process of reporting the accident required me to prove my association with the institution which I was not able to do. Avis initially attempted to void the rental agreement and went after me for the value of the vehicle plus lost business costs (approx. $25,000). I fought with them for nearly two years and was able to get the fee back down to the original deductible of $5000. I ended up giving in to the $5000 as they threatened to take me to court and claim that I used a discount code I was not entitled to use.
