Referrals and self-referrals are an important part of churning Canadian-issued American Express cards. It is appropriate to discuss how the referral process works in this thread. However, please do not offer or request referrals here.

Got my 3rd card using Plat referral (2nd BizGold). They LOVE me!!! I do spend a lot with Amex so that helps.
Wife has to apply today for her Gold (she's thrilled....lol.not!)
I'll see if I get the 20K SPG bonus whenever the statement gets triggered on my 2nd Personal SPG card.
I'm going to have to keep a note of pending bonus points. Plat, wife's BizGold, my Gold and her gold and my new BizGold. Just post when I hit the requirement dammit!@@@!!

Is it true that Business Platinum members only get the basic priority pass membership whereas Personal Platinum will get you the the Prestige Priority Pass membership?

Personal Platinum is not just Prestige (with 0 guest), but Prestige plus 1 accompanying guest.
Basic Priority is rather useless. Had it for years, free with my Diners Club and I never used it.

Sadly, looks like referrals from the personal Platinum have dropped to 15K and new applicants to the Platinum card via referral only get 60K points. Glad I got a few people referred at the old rates, but wish I did more! Still, 125K referral points so far this year, so I can't complain.

I got 4 referrals, nice 100,000. Still getting the SPG bonuses on 3rd cards
I have 2 BizGold cards. Though I usually cancel the old one when the new one shows. The new one is "in the mail", lord knows when it will show. I asked and they are still mailing them until they either strike or not.

Data point: self-referred from Platinum to Gold on June 29. Application wasn't approved instantly since I already applied for an AMEX within 90 days. Didn't have time to call to get it approved. Today I received an email stating my application is under review.
But I'm guessing it's been approved already since 25,000 bonus points posted to my Platinum.

Weird how my desktop link shows my SPG Business Referral as 10k to a max of 75k, but through the iOS app, 5000 to a max of 75k. Ive only been getting 5000 per referral the last few times...
I may apply for another Biz Gold, but still haven't seen my 40k points from crossing $5k spending on May 4... the 10 weeks comes in 12 days... I hope to see them by then.
