The lady who checked me out (in the VIP lounge) was awesome. She was able to apply the $60 credits to pretty much anything I did one those days (at those respective restaurants). I'm glad I went in person though. I used up $220 worth of the credits and none had been automatically deducted.

Thanks for the welcome guys. Glad all was well in the end. I will be back and will be a little smarter next time about confirming things.

Just to add the first time I called Amex travel it was late at night. The rep was awesome and asked many questions. For a little while there I was the intermediary between the front desk supervisor and the Amex reps questions. She didn't seem very wiling to call the supervisor herself even though she asked for her name. That first rep did offer to find another place for me to stay the next day...but didn't make it clear if I would have had to pay or not. I declined and tried again the next day. Glad I did.

Live and learn.

I always check out at the front desk if there was an issue or not. I hate the resort fees Vegas charges so when I check out they always ask "how was your stay?" When I have a legitimate issue they have always waived the resort fee. Its happened at a few properties and they've dropped the fee for every night saving me a bunch of money. I just got my platinum card and haven't stayed using FHR but am looking forward to using it on my next trip to Las Vegas.

Just a quick update, more detail later. At Bellagio now. They did away with the two $30 coupons for breakfast (presumably to make you use them for breakfast and not keep them). The list of restaurants at which you can use the credit now includes Lago. There was an insert with the room key saying credit is good at even more restaurants, by going off the letter I think Lago was the only addition. I'll post pics and more info later. Got upgraded from resort room to spa suite, no view.

At the Wynn/Encore,

The credits are automatically applied to your bill, no need to visit the front desk. You can see your charges on your TV screen.

Great upgrade.
Asked to be in the main tower at the time of booking and end up in the spa tower.
Last time with a virtuoso booking I was confirmed in the main tower at the time of booking.
FHR is only good for the 4 pm check out

food at Lago is good (not excellent but very decent, about the sale level than Olives) however portion are very small.
Outdoor patio is small. If you have access to VIP (in booking a suite for exmple) they may help to have an outdoor seating
The FHR credit does not cover tips at Bellagio

Does that mean they're still offering the breakfast credit but it's subtracted from the bill automatically or have they done away with the breakfast credit altogether?

Still a 60 credit. Deducted at check out (not charged at all except tips). Not valid for room service.

Bellagio
- Early check in : not needed
- Late check out : 4 pm granted. Housekeeper called at 2 pm PLUS 3 pm and PLUS knock at the door at 3.40 pm. Do you want tips ? hihihi
I also got some phone calls at 3 and 3.30 pm with nobody on the phone. Is that a new way to check if I'm still in the room
Asked for 5 pm and they told that I'll be charged for the entire night
- Upgrade : no : More a downgrade. Asked for a Bellagio suite in the main tower prior to my stay and ended in the SPA tower.
Asked at check in the chairman lounge if they have anything to upgrade to. She called. The guy on the phone was more interesting to know what she'll be doing tonight. As she said no, I had no upgrade (paid or free nothing)
She told me that she'll check tomorrow and will call me
Guess what, they did call me
They told me that they have a cypress suite for USD 100 extra on the 7th floor. I said OK if the room is available fast (it was 2 pm). They told me that they'll check with housekeeping and will call me back. They didn't call me back. I called back at 3 pm and after a long hold they told me that the room was assigned by the front desk. Frustrating
They did mention that any suite will have a 4 pm check out
- USD 100 partially used at lago. . Was charged for tips only
- Breakfast USD 60 per day. Used at Pool coffee and coffee Bellagio. Was charged for tips only. Pool coffee is a nice outdoor place. I had one of the most expensive omelette. I asked for salmon instead of ham. She asked me if wanted to have spinach, pepper ETC and I said, yes yes yes . Was charged 6 extra for the salmon (instead of ham) plus 2 per "yes"
- Check out : Lago charge was still on the TV screen. I called and they removed the charged and check me out over the phone and got the bill by e-mail few mns later
-VIP lounge / chairman lounge : good place to seat for a few mns and grab a bottle of water / coke. This is NOT the RC club. Almost no food during the day and a choice of a 2 small canapes in the evening.
- There is a round's trip airport transfer in Bellagio house Limo (i.e. not the RR). My driver was not nice nor smiling at all. On the way back he was much nicer / normal
Bellagio strengths is the location (at least for me)
Service wise it's OK. I'll probably stay there again as the location is important .
Again this is not at all a luxury hotel.

Wynncore offer abetter service and nicer room (even thought there is no steam in wynncore room.... up to salone suite at least).
The perfect vegas hotel will be the Bellagio location with the wynn service.... wait it was that..... 10 years ago
Wynncore towers is probably the mega resort with the closest feel / flair of a luxury hotel (speaking for the unwashed masses / non whales)

Interesting enough that all Bellagio room types are open to public and can be booked on their web site. It used to be up to penthouse only. (except Bellagio Villas which need a phone call. Believe the only "pool Villas" that can be booked on the web are the Mirage)

Side notes regarding the MO
- I had a great experience at the SPA at the Mandarin. They bring you a cold towel inside the steam, a rolled towel as pillow inside their hot tub, escort you back to the elevator on your way out. The massage by itself was good and it's really a 60 mns massage not 55 mns as it's sometimes the case. One of the best SPA that I know. Deserve their 5 forbes star

- However the hotel is almost a regular Vegas hotel zoo. Lot of bags and long line at check in / out. I didn't remember that when they first open.

- Twist restaurant - 5 forbes star (over rated): the best part is the food. Worst part is the service.
I have to repeat my dietary needs twice there despite they confirmed receipt of my e-mail
There is no pre-appetizer (just canapes) nor pre-desert and the mignardise are laughable
They don't have any French nor original water (fidji or san pellegrino that's it)
Of course there is no gift cakes / bread to take away the end of the meal (I know I'm asking too much)
I spoke with the chef (very nice guy BTW) and he told me that their restaurant in HK is better (I agree). He also told me that in Vegas some customers are in a rush as they have shows so they're just here to eat and to eat fast
Their restaurant in HK is a 2 michelin stars so twist would be 1 star.(if ever rated)....but still 5 forbes....

Anyway don't expect a true / real luxury dining experience like you'll have in Vegas at Guy Savoy or Robuchon (not l'atelier)

I do recommend top of the world restaurant at Stratosphere for the view and the food is very decent and reasonably priced. You can have a lunch for 30 dollars while a ticket to the observatory deck is 20+ (restaurant guests have free access to the observatory deck )

Got back from the Bellagio a few weeks ago and had an excellent experience using the FHR benefits. We checked in on a Saturday morning at 11:00 and were provided an upgraded Spa Tower fountain view room immediately upon check-in. While the view of the fountains is a bit off from the tower it was a nice upgrade from a standard room that we had requested. Below are the details provided in the letter:

• Noon check-in, when available
• Room upgrade upon arrival, when available. Certain room categories may not be
eligible for upgrades.
• Dally breakfast for two people: $30 per person, per day valid at Cafe Bellagio, The
Buffet, Pool Cafe (seasonal), Palio, or Cafe Gelato
• In-room WI-FI. Input your last name and room number to connect to In-Room Wi-Fi
• Guaranteed 4:00 pm late check-out
• Additional special amenity: US$100 property credit to be used during your stay.
Valid for Spa or Salon services, no merchandise.Dining Credit valid at:The Buffet, Cafe Bellagio, FIX, Harvest, LAGO, Lily Bar & Lounge, Jasmine, Michael Mina, Petrossian Bar

We ate at Lago for the dinner, The Buffet for brunch, and Cafe Bellagio for breakfast and received the credits for all at checkout. Vouchers are no longer provided for breakfast. The only disappointment was the food quality at Cafe Bellagio. Lago was fantastic.

Has anyone used the FHR @ the Cosmo yet and care to share their experiences? I am curious what their upgrade situation is like. If you were to book, say, a fountain view room, would you get "upgraded" into a "better" room one class above that did NOT have a fountain view? Seems like with those balconies, that would be a huge factor.

I'm at The Wynn right now on a 4th night free with FHR, and for dietary needs, they are very conservative, and only need to be told once! I have a gluten sensitivity, so a bit of cross-contamination, or a bit of soy sauce isn't going to cause me major problems.

I ate last night at the Teppenyaki in Mizumi, without any pre-knowelge, they started me out with a different amuse/palate cleanser, made all my food with Tamari instead of soy sauce (and before soy sauce hit the grill), and had a dessert selection ready to go (and Mrs CRAZ8 preferred mine!)

It was also really, really good!

Wynn Tower No Upgrade?

Just checked in at the Wynn. Booked the tower king for two nights and reading most comments here was expecting the parlor upgrade. No go. Only upgrade offered was one step up to King Executive, what the hell is that, didn't even see that when I was booking on fhr site. They said it's the next step up. Kinda disappointed, should I try for a better suite tomorrow? Staying two nights or is it not worth it?
