Gold Personal:
"Earn 30,000 bonus miles after you make $1,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months."
https://www.americanexpress.com/us/c...elta-skymiles/

A post on Reddit suggests that you can find a 50K offer, but with a $100 credit, by doing a dummy booking on Delta.com.
The offer should appear before you have to pay for the flight.

Gold Business:

"Earn 30,000 bonus miles after you make $1,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months and a $50 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new Card within your first 3 months."

Platinum Personal:

"Earn 35,000 bonus miles and 5,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $1,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months."

Platinum Business:

"Earn 70,000 bonus miles and 10,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $5,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months."

Note: Review the recent discussion in the thread about various other ways to try to locate offers as high as 50k+$50 credit.

Getting the statement credit:
MrMoonlight successfully purchased a Delta ecert (essentially a gift card) and received the statement credit. See this post..
Jacobsta811 also received $50 credit for $50 e-cert on both gold business and gold personal cards.
muji received $100 credit for $50 eCert on Delta Platinum card
sdsearch
received $100 credit for $50 eCert on business Platinum card (see this post).

vah4883
received $100 credit for $5.6 tax on Platinum card

So there's no thread covering this card as a whole, which means no links in the dedicated CC offers thread, so I thought I would make one so UA Fan has something to link.

Delta cards are hard because the generic public offer at Amex is pretty bad (10k miles), but there are several ways to get a better offer:
  • Delta Amex Card. Input your SkyPesos number and last name. Do this in incognito mode to get the best results. I won't get any offer if I don't do it incognito. I get 35k for $750 in 3m.
  • Delta.com Stock Offers.

Im about to pull the trigger on the plat to get an award ticket from mvd-sfo for my mom. The taxes and fees for the award are $70-100 depending on the flight I choose. Will the $100 credit apply to those fees?

Improved offer 6 wks after new card - any recourse?

I applied for a Delta Gold AmEx due to some upcoming regular travel on Delta on the 30k promotion offer. Less than 6 weeks later I'm flying and see an offer for 50k miles. I call customer service and they say there's nothing I can do to help. I've been a Platinum card holder since 1999, and there's nothing they can do about it?

Anybody have any suggestions or strategies they can recommend?

thx

That is American Express practice. Parallel discussion here:

All I know is that Delta e-certs works for the Delta Gold. Don't have Plat. And - you must only order a $50 e-cert. $50 will trigger the $100 credit. $100 e-cert will trigger $0 (ZERO) credit. YMMV

Edit: See next post

I was successful getting a $100 credit with my Plat when buying a $100 DL GC, but that was 4-5 months ago.

I've heard other reports that anything over $50 will not trigger. YMMV Also - why pay an extra $50 to generate the credit?

Does the Gold get sign on bonus more frequently promotions than the Platinum? If I were to apply for one, now with the plan of applying for the other in the future, should I apply for the Platinum 60K bonus first, and the Gold 50K when it comes again?

Discussion of applying for two cards on the same day has been moved, because applying for two Delta cards is no different than applying for any other credit cards issued by American Express:

I see reports of these cards coming standard USPS mail, and other reports of them being expedited. Those are about a year old, though. Any idea what the current shipping method is? I'm looking at getting a business gold, and need it in less than a week.

I know they'll usually expedite if you call and request it - any clue what number I'd need to call? Customer service? Recon? Applications?
