I was able to receive the exact language of the company policy from American Airlines today via Twitter regarding PDB's. I was actually quite impressed they followed up with me regarding a conversation that started a few days ago. I also received a nice note from Hector Adler who I also reached out to who said that pre-departure services were discussed at great length at a meeting late last week. Let's hope things begin to improve and if not we continue to press the FA's to follow company policy.

Did a little searching on Twitter. A good hashtag could be just #PDBServed and the condition listed before that. So, something like:

I'm new to AA (I mean I had been loyal to UA), and now I got Plat Ex for 3 months as a challenge.
I flew yesterday SJC-PHX-JFK and the first flight offered PDB, but second one did not...
I just puzzled, though the FA was nice and attentive. (so far,it seems mainline FAs seem nicer than UA, but express FAs are about the same as UA, but it's off the topic...)

LOL. So...just got off a UA flight. I was literally the last one to board. The friendly FA greeted me at the door, proactively found me overhead bin space for my carry-on ABOVE MY SEAT, and offered me a PDB before I even hit my seat. What. A. Difference.

JFK-SJU (delayed about 1.5 hours, so who's keeping track of being on time at this point?)
Nothing offered. With the usual JFK departure delays we won't even see water until well over an hour after boarding.
