Yesterday,I booked a first class award ticket through AA on CX JFK to MEL via HGK. CX845 to HGK is in first and CX163 to MEL is in Biz class. It cost 102,500 miles.
According to AA chart it should be 75K miles and the new chart that comes into effect 3/22 quotes 100K. Is this right? I have until midnight 3/20 to confirm the booking.
I was only able to book o/w as it was 341 days out, I have to wait until 4/2 to book the return, will it be the same amount of miles.
Thank you for any light you can throw on this.

How were you able to book an award with AA at 341 days out? Did you use AA miles or another airline's miles?

Ideally, an AA or Qantas seat in business at 80K each way Australia-US come April. Doesn't mean those seats will be available, though. You could set some flight alerts on Expert Flyer over several days, for every available flight out of Australia, and hope something opens up. I've had some success with that over the years with Qantas flights in business.

Hi everyone
I'm trying to find an award from TLV to anywhere in India. Tried searching on aa.com for many different dates, and for DEL, BOM, BLR - to no avail.
Any idea why nothing comes up? Are there some rules preventing such awards?
Thanks

Israel and India are both in the same AA zone: Middle East/Indian sub-continent. A same-zone award does not permit connections in any other zone.
The only AA partner that flies from TLV to somewhere else in the same zone is RJ, which flies TLV-AMM, but RJ no longer flies to India.
If a single AA award between TLV and India is possible, it would require flying RJ to AMM, and then connecting there to India via AUH or DOH. But since award travel on EY and QR cannot be displayed on aa.com, you must call AA to see if such a routing is even possible on a single award.
I suggest that you start by searching for dates when aa.com shows award availability for TLV-AMM on RJ. If you find a date that works for you, then call AA to see if they can build a connection on EY/QR/RJ to India via AMM and AUH or DOH.
Good luck!

F or J <award> to India - should I book on AA or partner?
I'd like to use AAdvantage miles before devaluation to book:
Grand Rapids (GRR) > Mumbai (BOM)
Delhi (DEL) > GRR
November travel, first or business class
Looking for any pointers as this will be my first trip to India. Should I book on AA or partner airline for the best experience for the "price"?
I could also use AmEx on any carrier but would really like to use up some AAdvantage Miles.
Thanks!

I don't understand your question.
AA does not fly to India these days. If you are going to redeem AA miles, you will have to fly a partner carrier, at least into and out of India.
Are you asking something else?
