EXP Privileges on AS?

This must have been answered before, but here goes....

For EXPs specifically, what are all of the real-life (vs. published) privileges when flying AS? How about seat selection and a high position on the standby list for same-day travel, or even +-24 hour travel?

Thanks....

I think you get all the published privileges in real life. I've never heard anyone have any problems getting a listed benefit honored. Now do note it's not a oneworld member, so you don't get exactly those benefits, but all the specifically AS benefits, I think you do actually get.

Indeed it has...

I did a search on thread titles for the term [alaska] and this was the first thread returned: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/ameri...26-2011-a.html

We'll merge accordingly so that as other members discuss and share anecdotes, we can keep the conversation in one place for other FTers who have same/similar questions in the future. Thanks! /Moderator

When I entered my EXP # on AS.com, it recognized me as EXP, and allowed me to select exit row/preferred seats. Very simple process ^

So some answers here, but nothing on standby or IRROPS priority. Regarding standby:

- Where do AA EXPs stand in standby priority on AS - below AS MVP?
- How much does it cost to stand by?
- Can you stand by anytime the same day, or +-24 hours?

And do EXPs rate any higher than AS general members in the case of IRROPS?

This stuff is important for those that enjoy status on UA, but may want to use AS in some cases.

For those who book AA codeshare but operated by Alaska Airlines, are you able to select seats on Alaska (even though booked as AA), including exit rows?

Anyone know the answer to this question below re: free checked luggage allowance?

Is it 2 free bags for the elite member or 6 free bags like AA does (2 free * 3 people on same PNR)?

How long does it take to take mileage from AS flights to get posted to AA accounts?

1 - Below all AS members. Any AS status member > AA status

2 - $25 for Same Day Confirmed Flight Changes (https://www.alaskaair.com/content/tr...t-changes.aspx)

Doesn't look like AA status qualifies for free standby option - https://www.alaskaair.com/content/tr...y-standby.aspx

EXPs on AS do not rank any higher than any AS elites on AS flights.

From the first page of this thread:

Code:
Q: Will people traveling with me be eligible for these benefits as well?

A: All companions booked in the same reservation (up to 9 passengers)
with an AAdvantage elite status member will be eligible for the same
benefits, including the waived checked baggage charge.

No, but you are still entitled to exit row seating if you are an AA elite. I have found that I need to ask the EXP desk for the AS Record Locater, then call the regular AS reservations line, provide the AS record locater, indicate that I am AA EXP and the ask for a specific seat (seatguru.com or similar research required). Using this approach, I have not had any problems getting the seat I want, unless it is occupied. Note that AA is apparently unable to assign AS exit row seats so if you or AA make changes to your reservation, it is possible that your exit row seat assignment may be affected. Check your reservation.

You can also use the AS confirmation # (obtained through AA) on the AS website, and select your seat online.

I've personally not had trouble asking an EXP agent to assign me exit rows on AA-marketed AS-operated flights upon which I am booked.

Can't OLCI for AA codeshare on AS?

I have a flight SEA-LAX-SFO on AS then AA metal but both AA coded flights. Couldn't check in on AA.com. Is this normal?
