I said that is fine as i am only 54 SP off GE i will probably hit this in April/May, the CSR said to hit GE i must get 54 SP prior to the 29th of March.

I asked the Question about SP Expiring this month, not allowing me to get it, and with the SP expiring i would probably then hit GE in MAY, the reply was your 'tier' works on the past 355 days at which point they review to see if you will make GE.

So now i am just confused! can anyone shed some light on this (those who have ticked over from GE to GE or G to G (or a combo)
from my understanding, 29 march last year is where you started to earn all your current SP. (all SP have a life time of 355 days) so after 29th march your "first lot" of SP will start to drop, so you need to earn more to keep up what you lose.

hope above help, sometime air nz can be very generous to help (re)qualify status.

Thanks, with the points expiring and other flights going through i will need 42 SP by the 4th of April and will hit GE in MAY regardless, i suppose it would be nice to hit GE earlier however since there is a limbo month.

Is that 355 day SP life correct? I took a domestic flight Mar 11 and back Mar 14 2010 and checking myairnz on Mar 11 & 14 2011, 12 SP had dropped off each time for those corresponding flights.

My points from FEB/MAR last year expire exactly 12 months after they were flown. I think end of March sounds about right when i hit Gold.

I have always had the understanding that the life of SPs was 365 days, and this was certainly the case when calculating when I was going to hit *G

I suspect SPs 'live' for 355 days after the day of earning, which is the same as them living for 356 days.

In any case the difference between 355 and 356 seems to be splitting hairs. If one day makes the difference in tier status, I'm sure NZ would bump a member up.

It is 10 days not 1, 365 vs. 355. For the record it is 1 year, 366 for leap years.
I now need to contact NZ about my earned status points not tally up with what they say it should.

No problem to log in. But "how far can you go" seems all over the show. Go to 3000 bux you can fly to queenstown 114 vancouver 2642 or whangarei for 114 from Wellington. It usually has flights around the same value like la 2500 and tokyo 2450. Any ideas?
