If the change was involuntary, yes. Call them or write them a message to ask for the original itin to be credited, they should adjust the XP and miles credit quickly and without discussion.

AF Y ticket - is it not possible to select seats for free in Manage My Booking for other pax on the same reservation number? From my understanding it is with KL Y tickets.

I have always done that, but my partner also always had at least silver status, so seat for free.
Maybe if the other pax in your reservation have no status, the website does not allow you to select a seat (even at a fee)?
You can also try the KL website. Sometimes KL allows you to select seats whereas the AF website/app doesn't, for the same reservation.

Thanks! I tried KL website and it seems the problem was with exit row seats. Standard seats were possible to select.

I am extremely confused to be honest and my question might be silly but I am not sure if the FlyingBlue extension offer is one I benefited from already or not.
I usually had qualification Jan-Dec and then my status was valid March-March.
I now have on my account: End of qualification period: 31 Dec 2021

Does this mean I'll get auto-renewed as Gold to 31 Dec 2022 or will I lose status at the end of the year if I don't hit the minimum XPs? I'm still not sure I will

I have a technical question, didn't find any answer through my research.
If your qualifying period ends Dec 31st and you take a flight with departure Dec 31st 2021, arrival Jan 1st 2022: would you expect your XP to be credited on your 2021 period or on 2022 period?

Hi all. My qualification period ended 31/10/2021. My status was automatically renewed, despite not having enough XP due to covid travel slowdowns. I thought it was renewed until 31/10/2022, however I just received this email from Flying Blue: "Félicitations ! Nous sommes heureux de vous informer qu'à compter du 1er février 2022 vous conserverez votre niveau Flying Blue Platinum pour 12 mois supplémentaires." Does this mean I'm platinum until 31/01/2023? Thanks for your help and clarification.

Hi all, I have a stupid question regarding FB status. I am currently silver. FP shows that I have 162 XP and a note saying "Upgrade to Gold, Reach before August 31, 2022". I have a flight scheduled soon that will net me 192 XP.

I am not sure which one of these two scenarios will occur after I take the aforementioned flight:
1) I become Gold, and my XP counter gets reset to 174. 162 plus 192 = 354 minus 180 gold requirement = 174
2) I become Platinum because 162 plus 192 = 354 which is more than the 300 needed for plat. (I have a suspicion event 1 is what is going to happen...)

TIA

Event 1 is what will happen. The Platinum requirement is effectively "300 XP earned (or rolled over) while holding Gold status". So as a Silver, the requirement to go to Platinum is 180 XP in the first N months (N must be at most 12) and then 300 XP in the next M months (M must be at most 12).

Ugh...I have about 40k FB miles expiring at end of December and can't fly for now due to medical reasons. Can I book an award ticket for next year and then cancel it when the time gets closer to have them redeposited? Will that work? Or can I at least change the award later? I know that amex transfers don't extend it. Cheers

EDIT: yayy! I see it is extended another year! Thanks for Extra XP promo to continue in 2022 with 1.5x XP?
