Any legitimate way for a charity to benefit from the "gift"?

I don't really see how. It has to be given to a person.

Gifting status just strikes me as strange. You're giving it to someone who flies enough that they can make use of it, but not enough to earn it.

The only reason I'm even contemplating this is that with early recognition, it's 10 eUps instead of 50, but the gifted E50K is the same (well, 7 months instead of 12, but still...)

If I didn't make *G I'd rather pay someone here to gift it to me instead of doing a mileage run.

This might have been answered before, but, I just cross 100K AQM (66K AC AQM), my AQD is $18K. Will I get SE for 2016 or do I need to wait until $20KAQD? The combination of tracking AC AQM and AQD in 2016 is confusing.

For early recognition, you need to meet last year's requirements, which include 50k miles on AC metal.

If the 100k shows up in your dashboard, your status should immediately switch over.

Miles just got posted and I selected my privileges
So, in the highly unlikely event that I don't hit $20K AQD by Dec 31, I would drop back to E75K in March 2017?

My better half hit 35 flights yesterday. AQD is above the threshold. We have flights tmrw to YLW. Any way to expedite her 35K status so we can get free bags for our trip?

When the flights post, the status will update immediately (though airport systems may take one more day to see it).

If the 35th flight was yesterday, then no.

And AQD does not matter for early recognition this year.

Just imagine the thread length next year…

"I just reached 35/50/75/95 segments and will meet the AQD $ once that trip posts. In "X" days my honeymoon/trip of a lifetime begins. Will AC show my 2017 early qualification status before then?"

The enhancement fix would be to eliminate early qualification for the 2017 status year and beyond.

Can someone remind me what happens as you move up an Altitude level. I know you pick your 'new' choices and I assume they do not stack. But for example if you pick 75% bonus miles, does your entire year of miles change to 75% from 50% or is it just for new flights.

Early recognition

Hey all, I have a domestic AC flight on Oct 13 this year that would put me into 50k status early recognition. They obviously don't update your miles that quickly, but since I flew the flight before Oct 15, would I still get early recognition or am I sol?

Thanks!
