Congratulations are in order!!! This is what I want to see for myself; can't wait. Honestly, I'm a bit jealous too

I don't have any status yet and based on my current plans won't hit E35K until August. Only thing going for me for now is Amex AP+ Plat for MLL access.

Only if you meet the requirements.

Early recognition uses the 2016 qualification requirements.

So AQD is irrelevant, but you need 50% AC metal.

So if you fly 100k miles on AC for $8000, you'll get early recognition for S100K, but only E50K next year.

The same applies to other levels.

If you qualify for E35K status with $3500 spend, you'll only have status until February 2017.

You can get early recognition without meeting the AQD requirement, but you won't have status next year without it.

With the new AQD coming (this probably is more appropriate on the other master thread), I guess there's no going around the $20,000 cost/year

And remember, it's not $20K gross, AQD doesn't include fees and taxes or tickets purchased on other *A carriers, unless they're AC codeshares ticketed on AC stock. So even if you fly 100% on AC, you need to spend more than $20K.

I just realised the early recognition requirements are going to work against my girlfriend. She will easily hit the AQD requirements for E35K but nowhere near the AC metal requirement. An interesting kink in the system, given I think most people are in the reverse situation.

I'm sure a Tweet to @ACAltitude could get someone to look into that. I find they're pretty good about doing "sensible" things, even if it's against published policy (which this is not - it's just not discussed anywhere).

Good idea, but then I'd have to sign up for Twitter, which I have zero desire to do

Thanks!

If you have AMEX AP Plat, then that's still most of the privileges of E35k.

Just early qualified for E50k.

The pro-rated eupgrade credit selections were:
P25k -> E35k
Bundle 1: 5 eup
Bundle 2: 5 eup

E35k -> E50k
Bundle 1: 5 eup
Bundle 2: 5 eup

When I hit E75k we'll see if the Bundles end up being a total of 15 eups rather than 10.

My P25K friend had his 35th segment post, and the dashboard immediately updated, same day.

It's now the next day, and his BPs still say P25K.

His dashboard shows 53 AQS, but it hasn't updated to E50K there.

Edit: His BPs now say E35K and his dashboard shows E50K.

Okay so same friend is now SE.

Bundle 1 offers (among other things) 10 eUps or E50K for a friend (until the end of February).

Does anyone think it's worth taking the eUps?

I just wish we knew someone who flew enough to make use of E50K, but didn't already have status.

Does E50 for a friend generate e-credits for them to use?

or share

Use, yes, share... only SE gets nominees. So it would have to be same day travel.
