A330-300 Fleet Overview
AC currently has two configurations of 333:
- Dream Cabin (16 aircraft): Latest 3-class configuration in line with the 787 and 777 fleets (seat map)
- The "Merlions" (2 aircraft): ex-Singapore Airlines 2-class configuration (seat map), which are expected to be reconfigured to the Dream Cabin.
- Important note: the front cabin on these aircraft is an angle-flat product in a 2-2-2 layout that was SQ's "regional" business class. On flights within North America, AC sells it as J; on international flights, they sell it as PY. These aircraft do not have the standard AC PY cabin
- Since October 2023, these aircraft primarily operate YYZ>BOG>YUL triangle, and YUL<>LAX.

Flew FIN 937 yesterday. Bins are are a bit bigger than canadiancow ’s flight as he is on ex-SQ plane that had smaller bins.
I found the foam seat more comfortable than the air mattress, but overall space is a bit tighter compared to 787 and 777 because the plane is smaller.
Only other complaint was the ‘sleep’ mood lighting is still quite bright, but hopefully they can address that with a programming update.

But if it's anything like the 223, it can power and charge a 13 inch MBP.
Overall, it was just small. And everything (armrest, tray table, side openings for storage and remote) was harder to move.
I wouldn't actively avoid it, but it's probably my least favorite widebody right now.

FIN 933 returned from QPG on January 12, 2022 after refurbishment (49 days). FIN 941 went to QPG on January 10, 2022. AC seems to be gradually taking the A330's out of cargo service now that the 767's are active.

Hi everyone , I was looking to book a trip BCN-YYZ for this summer and to my horror I see the old A330 configuration in business, does anyone know if AC has a date to have all their 330's fitted with new pods? from what I can tell from the seat map it does look like the old one. Sorry if this has been answered but can someone direct me where I can check which 330's are fitted with new pods and which are not ? looks like MAD-YYZ also has the same format. Trying to avoid these seats and old IFE. Thanks in advance

Are you 1000% sure it is the old pods?
Your seat map screenshot has A/D/G/K on it, even though the focus is off because this is AC IT we're talking about 🤦

Moderator note: a number of recent posts on the seat map misalignment during seat selection have been moved to the website issues thread, where the issue has been discussed extensively; the issue is also not exclusive to the 333. Please continue discussion relating to the seap map problem in that thread; further posts on that topic here will be deleted.

Are we at 10 refurbished, 2 in old config, and 4 for cargo (1 of which may be being refurbed) now?
From the summer schedule (which is subject to change), it looks like the following routes currently show A330:
From Toronto: lis, bcn, mxp, vce, cph, man, mad and lhr
From Montreal: lis, bcn, mxp, vce, cmn, lys, gva, nce and alg
This requires at least 13 A330s (based on the current frequencies) - the daily morning YYZ-LHR in a330 arrives in LHR in the evening and flies back the next evening so I think that route will need 2.
I guess time will tell if the last 2 will be refurbed before the summer.
