In case you missed it he basically said that AAdvantage was no different than the other programs now which would lead one to pick an airline based on something other than FF program. Then he argues that Delta would be a better option since they offer a better product and on time record. The next day he had an article saying despite all that he's sticking with AA.

Can't believe he is baiting people on Twitter about changes to UA MP, asking for another "source" to come forward. Yeah, like someone connected to UA-and working on any hypothetical changes-and subject to an NDA as part of their terms of employment will answer him.

It's a form of marketing. 'I know something but can't say what it is...follow my blog closely to see #whathappensnext.'
Thought leaders don't need to bait sources!@:-)

It's fallen off a bit lately, but for a while View from the Wing was one of the two or three best blogs on Boarding Area. It's still pretty good. Gary should be flattered with all the attention he gets.

The thing is what could be constructive criticism is consistentLY either ignored, or responded to with claims of "bashing". The forum and bloggers could have more of a symbiotic relationship (the same goes for bloggers and their commenters), particularly since we were initially one community. Now there is a big line between bloggers who are paid by credit card marketers and otherwise taken care of by hotel and airline PR, and the rest of FlyerTalk. The bloggers have chosen to be responsive to Chase and SPG, and not the community.

Abhorrently poor, clickbait/link bait/FUD post by Gary today. Claims "we don't know when the end is for the Citi 75k Hilton offer and it may be soon". Well, Gary, I've got a pretty good idea if you want to meet up for a beer later and discuss what a slightly different link says (bolding mine):

Another observation:
Brett Snyder/Cranky is increasingly calling out these BoardingArea posters misinformation about operational/strategic/etc facets of the industry. Cranky posts at 3:45am PDT and right on cue, Gary shows up moments later to defend his blog and offer some silly explanation.
