With the signature of his blog, he comes off as one of the most pompous asses, and at the same time insecure, as one should not brag about themselves (at least the way I am wired). And reading some of the articles they mostly seem like click-bait that that seems so prevalent these days on the internet with either little substance or off topic from what the link implied.

Gary needs to read the Southwest forum more often. A few hours after I posted a newsflash containing, among other information, a description of Southwest's stealth 3% devaluation which occurred four weeks ago, Gary posted about it:
http://viewfromthewing.boardingarea....-less-3-years/
It's a good post, but we most definitely heard it here first. I didn't newsflash the devaluation when our members discovered it because there wasn't anything one could do about it. I just b*tched about it in the discussion thread.
Gary's move to Austin has increased his interest in Southwest from its former level of zero, but Southwest's evident sale-free summer fare policy this year has decreased my interest. Southwest is all growed up and acting in some respects just as badly as its competitors. Their first strike is coming before too long, I'll bet.

Today we're treated to yet another NeverTrump post from our Thought Leader.
So let's put politics aside. Yeah, I know, that's a lot to put aside, but work with me here.
There still are several interesting things going on here. At least five things, in fact.
First, there's an interesting Newtonian paradox: what happens when two infinitely strong forces collide, namely, hatred of Trump and hatred of the TSA? Which prevails? Even long-time readers will never guess which force wins.
Second, Gary seems to be under some sort of hard-to-explain illusion that Trump is so unpopular, and so hated that his recent anti-TSA tweet will make the TSA more liked. The problem with this theory is that this simply isn't true: according to the latest polls, he's approximately splitting practically half the country with HRC. Sure, lots of folks hate him (and her), but that doesn't change the fact that a lot of people seem to like the guy.
Third, Gary thinks that the lack of how-to-fix-it detail in Trump's Tweat invalidates his entire criticism of the TSA. Lack of detail. In a Tweat. I kid you not.
Fourth, Gary evidently also thinks that nothing an idiot says could ever possibly be right. This simply isn't consistent with reality. In Texas, we have an expression for this situation: even a blind hog can find an acorn.
And fifth, as I said above, roughly half the country evidently likes Trump. (The other half evidently hates the guy.) So let's say you run a blog. You want to maximize readers. Sure, you want to delight half of them with a Trump bash. But at the price of alienating the other half? Who the heck wants to cut his readership in half? Voluntarily? Some newspapers can afford to this, to be sure, but Gary ain't exactly the New York Times.
And then, finally, we have Gary, our Gary, defending the TSA! The mind boggles.
