The risk arising from getting too close (even emotionally close) to the subject of coverage is that of becoming an apologist for the subject company. It's not just a problem with just the bloggers, it's also an issue on FT -- including with AApologists, BApoligists, etc. However, eventually objective reality sets in and then the divorce isn't necessarily all that pretty on the Internet.

"Originating in Mozambique is literally 89% off the price of the same flights originating in San Francisco." And, only about 10,800 miles difference in starting location.

And that was a 99% useless post of his. Much too much of that stuff lately.

Well least he was honest about why he doesn't have the current big United bonus in his "Best Credit Card Signup Offers Right Now" (bolding mine) even though one can clearly argue it's better than almost every single other "best offer" he has on the list (at least for the 70k + $50 version)

I don’t have links for them [the UA cards being offered] and simply have observed reports of othres (sic) as to what’s available, but with 70,000 miles on offer to some people this is noteworthy even if many offers are targeted.

Maybe the banks are getting smarter and giving the best offer directly to the consumer. Everyone in my family was able to get the better offer. Eliminates the banks having to pay commission to the cc pumpers.

This is awesome!:-:

You know that I'm a thought leader because I'm wearing a blazer, I have glasses, and I've just done this with my hands.

Trust me, watch, it's a pretty funny (and accurate) parody/satire - and only about 4 minutes.

You know, I DID steal that from another FlyerTalker...but not Alan H.

Perhaps the person who sent it to me neglected to HT Alan H. too!?
