Can I stay airside when transfering from B (or C) to F? I have to make a connection between the US1065 and the US3841 (Air Wisconsin) flights.
I see the OP says there is a bus/ shutthe from A and C to F; is that inside the sterile area or I need to go out and go back through security again?
Thanks.

Before someone snipes to read the thread or the airport website....

yes. There's a shuttle from the top of terminal C airside to F. Gate C16 -- walk to the beginning of C, and turn right BEFORE going out the checkpoint -- down the escalator is the bus.

Gate 16 is sometimes hard to find as it is around the corner from the rest of the the C gates and the B-C connector. Look for the Au Bon Pain .. the escalator to the shuttle for terminal F is right next to the bakery seating area (and yes, to confirm, you stay within secure side if you take shuttle bus from C to F)

Yes, they mucked with the menu. I used to eat there a lot. I've been once since they remodeled and I wasn't impressed with the food. Decor is nice though.

Fewer options, esp if you want something other than sushi. No more bento boxes, non-sushi entrees gone, etc. Some dim sum but I wasn't impressed (even for airport food standards) so I didn't venture into anything raw.

Hi everyone. Looking forward to another trip with US next week, MAN-PHL-DTW. I have an hour or two during my connection at PHL, and have one thing I must get hold of asap - a T-Mobile SIM card for my iPhone. I'm going to be making a few trips to the USA this summer and don't want to be welcomed home to the UK with a big roaming bill each time.

Could any regulars / locals tell me if there is a store or newsagent airside at PHL that sells T-Mobile prepay SIMs? I think I'll be arriving in A and departing from F, so will pass most of the concessions.

Many thanks in advance ^

Came thru here yesterday.

Let me just stress this:

IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE IN TERMINAL F, EAT BEFORE YOU GET THERE OR AFTER YOU LEAVE.

Man, there is NO food there right now due to the construction. Just that Au Bon Pain thing and a bar and whatever CIBO is. Basically premade salads like an old Howard Johnson cafeteria.

We flew from FLL to PHL in coach and got a drink and nothing else, even the little pretzel bags with four pretzels in each one.

Then we got to PHL and rushed to F to catch our flight onto ITH (which turned out to be delayed 30 minutes, so we didn't have to rush after all but didn't have enough extra time to go back to the other area either) and realized there was nowhere to eat.

Then we got on the CRJ from PHL to ITH and they announced we wouldn't be getting a drink service because of the flight length, which was somewhat surprising since we got one last year going from PHL to BGM, which should be closer or equal distance.

So yeah we got home just about sick from hunger (I'm not faulting the airline). Oops.. knowing this, we'll plan better next time. But just letting people know. Eat outside of F if you get a chance.

The "Airport Wireless" store in B and the "Tech Showcase" store in the connector between D and E sell SIM cards, but I don't know if any of them are T-Mobile-branded.

Doing MAN-PHL-LGA in 2 weeks. Due to a leg injury, I will require wheelchair assistance at PHL.

Are there any priority lines at immigration for assisted travellers?
I am a US Citizen.

Once through customs, I note I will need to take a shuttle from A to F. Will the wheelchair (and assistant) be able to go on the shuttle?

I also note the lounge in Term F is closed (I am travelling on a business ticket).

Would I be able to use the lounge in Term A before going over to Term F (I have 3 hour connection)?

Or is it best to use the lounge in between Terminal B and C (it seems this is connected to term A) - then request assistance from this lounge to the shuttle from C to F?

Or would this complicate things too much? I just dont want to be hanging around Terminal F for around 2 hours without a lounge.

Suggestions please

to get from A/B/C to F you need a shuttle. The hike from A to the BC club is not short, and doesnt save you anything being "closer" to F. I'd relax in the A club, which used to be the Envoy lounge before it was turned into a regular club. justleave some leeway getting to F as you need the shuttle, and F may include a long huike depending on which gate you are headed to and such.

I have noticed much longer lines on the bus going from C to F. Sometimes the lines are ridiculous and bend around under the stairs. I have flown through PHL for years and the last 2 months is the first time I have seen this. Anyone know why?

F check-in closes after 6PM?

Recently flew out of PHL on a late evening flight. Went to check-in at Terminal B, & it looked a zoo. Then found out all F kiosks/counters were unavailable. Went to ask an agent about where to check in for *Gs & was told all F check-ins are closed after 6PM, so I should use a regular line. Are the F check-in counters really closed after 6PM? It's not like the regular lines were "empty", so I can't imagine someone paying for F would enjoy waiting in the regular line!

To be honest at the B/C ticketing counter, the F line is usually as long if not longer than just waiting for a self serve kiosk. The only benefit tends to be the F counter is better about remembering the priority bag tag.

Just walk up and down a bit and I'm sure you'll find an open kiosk. Just remember to make sure they add your correct bag tag if you're checking something in. You'll end up saving the most time skipping the security lines anyway.

There were only a few self serve kiosks available & the lines for them were long! The only kiosks with little to no line were the ones for "carry-on only." Is the F check-in open in A-West in the evening? Is this what Envoy pax have to deal with, too?

My daughter 15 yo is set to arrive on US 743 at 13:30 to Terminal A and depart on US 3047 at 15:19 from Terminal F. This is really very tight time frame since she has to pass Inmigration, get her lugagge and clear customs before rechecking, hoping on shuttle and reach to terminal F 40 minutes in advance of her departing time.

Do you think it may ACTUALLY be too tight to make it? Any hint? Thank you!
