I just noticed that the men's room near the exit for Terminal C (across from Au Bon Pain) has some cool photos of the airport from what I would guess are the 1950s.
Anyone see other photos of interest around the airport?

TATL through F?
We are flying to FCO tonight and I normally park in economy and walk to F for every flight I have for work. Can we enter in F for this TATL flight and just take the shuttle to A/B or do we need to go through A?

You can enter through F security and take the bus to A, which will drop you at A1 near A-East security.

International transit at PHL
Planniing a trip from to PUJ (from ORD) on US.
Currently the best fares are returning via PHL. US has a legal connection on the return of 96 minutes.
I am suspicious of this.
Is the 96 minute connection doable? I will be connecting US1450 to US707 and this looks like I will be arriving at A gate and departing at a C gate.

Longer answer : I haven't come in to PHL recently on 707, but I do arrive a lot on TATL flights (6x in 2011) and have yet to be caught in a customs disaster. But I also sit at front of steerage class (7 usually) and move fast to make sure that my flight is not the line I am standing behind. There are a lot of intl flights coming in at same time, so this is not foolproof; but, and although some of the lines (okay, the line I am in) move excruciatingly slowly, I can't remember a wait of more than 20-25 minutes, and most were more like 10-15. On the plus-side, the TATL flights often arrive 10-20 minutes early.
Longer answer continued : Luggage. Well, I don't check bags (except when the LH people on preceding flights insist on it
), so I don't know -- maybe others will ; except to state the obvious ... if there is more than just you in your party, the convoy moves at the speed of the slowest ship. The real wildcard is something I rarely face, which is going back through security. It is a cattlecall ; anyone you missed at passport control will show up again. On the plus side, they are usually pretty good about letting folks on tight connections move through.
I don't see the distance as a big problem to B, or even C.
And, of course, the PHL-ORD flight might be delayed
.So I would say you are good at 75-90%, and with those odds and .... well, see the short answer, above.

Short answer : Eminently doable, and since the day will still be young ; and there are lots of subsequent flights PHL-ORD (and it's not so far that an imperfect seat would be insufferable .... Sure, why not?

I am a member of Global Entry, so immigration is a snap.
I usually check luggage. As long as I can count on the luggage hitting the carousel within 30 minutes or so after arrival, I am good.
I am more concerned about clearing security post Customs and getting to my gate.
A little lounge time would be nice, but not a requirement

Terminal A lounge access
I was looking at my return flights PUJ-PHL-ORD.
I will be flying on US707 from PHL to ORD. This leaves out of terminal A.
I am *A Gold and a UA RCC member. From the US website it looks like I will not have access to the Envoy lounge.
Is there any lounge in Terminal A besides the Envoy lounge?

Philly Connection
Just got a text from a friend flying into Philly today arriving at gate C24 then going out of A15 to Frankfurt. What do they need to do to get from C to A. I assume they do not have to go through security again.

From the US guide to PHL thread,
.... the shuttle does not run directly between C and A.
It takes upwards of 15 minutes to walk from the farthest gates of C to the farthest gates of A-West, however, there are moving sidewalks to help. ...

Depends on how fast you walk. if you are on a tight connection and can walk quickly, you should be able to do it in under 15 minutes, and if you're really tight, there are sometimes carts that will drive you from gate to gate. If you're flying Envoy and have the time, stop at the Envoy lounge on the way out (you don't need a US Club card). Also, remember that Europe flights begin boarding 45 minutes before flight time, not 30 minutes like domestic.

Hiking up C concourse there are no moving sidewalks. The connecter between B and C has them, with a food court halfway along the connector which is lined with shops. The main USAirways club is above the half of the connecter that is closer to B concourse, accessible by escalator from the juncture of the two moving walkaways or from an elevator near the Dunkin Donuts at the beginning of B concourse.
There are also several moving walkways to assist with the hike to and through terminal A, which will not require re-clearing security unless you have the misfortune of trying to walk from F; there is a shuttle airside to help that. The only connection I'm not sure can be done airside is from terminal E.
