I got 3 emails but my email address is on about 8 people's accounts. Here is one clue from the fine print.

I got the email too. I booked an Envoy award ticket, bought miles, flew about 9 segments last year, no status. It's also not shown up on my account yet either.

I don't know how US accounts for miles liability on their balance sheet but you could say this freebie has a value of around $10-$30 depending on how you like to figure out cost per mile. That's a helluva lot of liability to add to your books overnight if it was sent to all of their customers.

So I'm a bit skeptical even though the email looks legit.

You figured it out. IMHO this is real. My account that is signed up for News & Offers received this email other family members who aren't signed up for News & Offers did not.

However, I still did not receive any miles. I put that down to US's bad IT.

I called the CP line this morning for another issue and asked about this e-mail. She had no idea what I was talking about.

I did get the e-mail, but there are no miles yet.

I got the explicitly stating "They're waiting in your account..." Apparently not because nothing has posted to my account. US can't even get an April Fools joke off in time!

New Gold status, no US credit card, never booked award travel. But I am subscribed to News & Offers, so that seems like the common link. Email arrived this morning, and like everyone else no miles have been posted.

Wake up USAirways - IT Dept.

Someone needs to go and wake up USAirways IT department.

USAirways Marketing is promising people miles in their account, BUT IT has not figured out how to deliver these miles YET!

I got the same email but no miles

By not adding the miles in a timely and efficient fashion, USAirways is taking away the positive effect from this email.

Hope someone at USAirways is reading this.

No status with US. Have the credit card. Have flown 10 segments with them this year and bought lots of miles. No miles posted...yet....I have faith that this will resolve itself.

Is it possible that this is a false email from someone who get the breached Epsilon marketing lists?

Perhaps. But if I were going to create this type of false-hope email, I'd be promising everyone something like 25,000 miles instead of 1,000 miles!

Exactly, also if it was fake, the writer didn't insert any malware or have any phishing links.

I think it's US being US. They implemented it poorly.

Got the email and no miles have posted. I have no status and have not flown with US in years.

Same with me, I thought it was because I recently cashed in miles for 4 tickets, at least until I read this thread. Interesting to see if anyone who forwards this to US gets a response and what kind of a response it is.

Forwarded my email to the Chairmans email desk.

I called Dividend Miles customer service just now and I'm told the email is legitimate and it's just an IT delay. Expect the miles within 24-48 hours.
