Sorry, after I posted my reply I realized that I should have stated that www.ual.com should be entered on Megaproxy.
Works for me. The only problem is that I can'tell when our upgrades expire . No months indicated, just blank boxes. But I've got a pretty good idea what they are.
Again good luck.

I found that megaproxy works for me too, while normal ual.com does not. Curiously I can cut'n'paste the URL as used by Megaproxy and that does not work. While putting the "broken" URL into megaproxy does work.

Despite intuition to the contrary it would seem that the route to ual.com does make a difference to your chances of success. Very strange. I have no doubt that a look at the source for summary.jsp would indicate where the problem is.

In new browswers, there is no difference between http://www.ual.com/ and www.ual.com.
That didn't have anything to do with using
megaproxy. I seem able to use megaproxy at
home, but not at work. Maybe it has something to do with a firewall (unrelated to the ual.com eupgrade problem.)

Meanwhile, it would be nice if United would fix the code and/or link.

O.K.!!! O.K.!!!
Is this some kind of a test or what? It's working. It's not working. It's not working. It's working. Am I missing the "window of opportunity"? or what? It hasn't "ever" worked for me since around Thanksgiving.

It is still not working for me, either, and I also have reluctancies about using megaproxy. I've tried erasing cookies and everything. Does anyone have a better idea?

Bizarre that you have a list of dial-in numbers that it works with and numbers that it doesn't work with.

That sounds like a timing related problem on their end, but who knows?

ok .. here's another interesting bug that most of you probably (err, hopefully?) never see. Last night I was playing with itineraries around 11:30PM HST. So it's still January 30th in Hawaii and its January 31st everywhere in the lower 48. Every time it wants to display the date calendar on the right of the screen I get a pop-up error message instructing me that my date is set incorrectly and that on win95/98 I should change my date by clicking on the time in the system tray. The error-message pop-up is very official looking and doesn't really seem to be related to the site you are browsing at all. It's very strange.

I read the message, shake my head in complete disbelief, close the error message, and where the calendar is supposed to appear I have greyed out messages telling me my date is set incorrectly.

I admit I wondered what this thread was all about as I've (almost) never had a problem accessing my E-Upgrade summary on UAL.com.

But, just to add yet another data point ...today I switched ISPs (and from dial-up to DSL), and lo and behold, I can no longer access my summary either (had no problems yesterday on my old ISP).

Thanks for the megaproxy tip -- I can access it through there.

I don't know if it's a fluke or what, but today I was able to access my summary for the first time since Thanksgiving, and I've tried almost every day. BTW, found an unexpected nice surprise too.

Still not working for me, despite several phone calls and e-mails back and forth. United really ought to euthanize this puppy ... it's just disgraceful.

And I'm a "real" 1K ... imagine what kind of customer "service" the less "valuable" customers are getting.

I'm tellin' ya it does have something to do with how you access the internet (or at least something to do with how you are being routed on the internet).

If I dial-up using some numbers...no.

If I dial-up using other numbers...yes.

The same results every time. If I go back to using an old number, it never works (refering to my post up above on this page).

Well I'll be .... mine worked for the first time since November. It could have something to do with an email exchange I had with United.com that went along the lines of:

Me: I've got a problem and here are all the details. Could you please look into this and let me know when it will be fixed.

UAL: The site is temporarily experiencing difficulties.

Me: Excuse me? It hasn't been working since November and there is a long thread on Flyertalk showing that I am not alone. Can you please tell me when this will be fixed? I support United but FF's are generally not stupid and would rather deal with the truth than not be given information. We're trying to be on your side!

UAL: NOT MY FAULT - We haven't been given any information and there is no one here who has any.

Me: Then please send this email to someone who DOES have some information.

UAL: OK, I'll do that.

.... end of thread with UAL.COM .... BUT several days later, miraculously, I have been able to see my E-upgrades. Of course, it may be that I am on the road and lucked out with the ISP I am using, but it hasn't worked from other dial-in locations before. I'll report back when I get to my DSL at home. Maybe sending email to UAL.com helps!

I was able to access my upgrades at an internet cafe in London for the first time about 3 weeks ago. I still can't access it at home via Pac Bell DSL, nor at work on a number of PC's on the LAN. Tried MSN dialup access, which came with the new PC at home, and it comes up fine there. Strange. Very strange. I guess it really does matter "how" you access, as there are ways to get to it.
