The bags are officially gone.

It's bizarre that I can take a CR5 RIC-ORD and have access to a fairly extensive snack selection, including fresh fruit, a "cheese" platter, chips, nuts, olives, crackers, Biscoff, etc.

If I take an A319, I get served absolutely nothing to eat.

Why the massive disconnect between Express and mainline?

I was intentional about including officially in my post. It’s really more that the service is comparable to coach. I couldn’t believe they still did the bags but see no reason why they can’t revert back to a muffin / snack basket.

Anyone have the breakfast lately? It seems like the same, but more selections? I also had the ability to select: "I am a united club member and will not eat," as well as "I do not eat," and "I will go directly to sleep." No option to ask for food later.

I’m not a sweet breakfast guy, so judge my picks accordingly. The egg scramble is very good IMO, and a good size portion. The tomato kale egg white thing is usually good also. Usually comes with 2 sausages.

Except ORD-EWR is not a meal flight, not even BOB. What would you expect the FAs to do?

I was able to get a snack box in F on EWR-ORD a month or two ago. The FA and I lamented the lack of food on that route

ORD-EWR/LGA is very inconsistent. Sometimes snack boxes handed out proactively in F, sometimes on request only, occasionally unavailable.
Sometimes got the baggie, sometimes just a stroop/Bisc/pretzel.

ORD-LGA is coded as snack, which is the same as what is offered on breakfast, lunch, and dinner flights. ORD-EWR is coded as "Meals are not offered for this flight," which means pre-packaged, shelf stable junk food.

Unless something changed this week, ORD-LGA is not a meal flight. Hasn’t been since prepandemic. Snack is a stroopwafel or similar. Snack box if you’re lucky.
