that seems to be the case now. All my recent ones have been slightly before 9 p.m. and they had full dinner. Looking at the summer schedule it indeed looks like it is 9 p.m.

Flying in June EWR to SFO. Can take 8:30am flight on domestic 777 or 9am flight on 752. Which is better for business clsss as they have 2 different seat options.

Does the 777 have any decent business seats left? The 777 has middle seats in business, whereas the 757 is just windows and aisles. The 757 has two configs, the one with one business cabin with 16 business seats (16J), and the one with two business cabins, 28 business seats total (28J). The seats are the same except the 28J version has two bulkhead rows. Bulkhead rows have wider footwells than the other rows.

The 777's seats are narrower (19") than the 757s seats (21"). The 777 is 2-4-2 in business, and the 757 is 2-2 in business

I’d take any version of the 752 vs the sardine can 777 every time. Much more personal space.

Agree. The 777 has no storage space behind while the 752 does. I booked a flight for May 1 and could have upgraded at booking to Business on the 777. Instead I chose to fly coach on a 752 with a waitlisted upgrade that probably won't clear. I don't want to waste an RPU on a 777 where you're practically as cramped in a Business seat as in a coach exit row seat on a 752.

Agreed. I prefer the B752s. I’d recommend stay clear of the domestic B777s.

The 777s don't permit any carry-on bags on the floor under the seat in front of you in J. Do the 757s?

A small laptop bag or purse could fit under any of the footwells - a backpack is pushing it, though in the bulkheads row 1 / 5 there is more room.

Yes it's approved storage space on the 752.

I've only taken the service for one r/t between BOS and SFO thus far, but my experience led me to believe that from a "gate to gate" perspective, from BOS to SFO, UA is no. 1, with DL no.2 and B6 coming out at the bottom for a variety of reasons. One reason I would offer is that a nice lounge certainly contributes to the overall experience, which B6 lacks almost entirely, and while DL does measure up, they lack the frequency of UA.
LOL, BOS “by far and away” one of the better UC’s in the system. Yes, BOS like United’s other industry leading clubs has amazing cubed cheese and those really nice plastic cups. Spending an hour there to luxuriate before a flight definitely pushes UA far above the stellar B6 product.

Reminds me of Meister Brau - "tastes as good as Budweiser".

Not to mention the fabulous UCs at the SFO end.

I also favor the 752 over the 777.
As a family of 4 we took an entire middle row of 4 seats, that had some benefit with 2 small kids.
And while not a PS flight, we also do LAX-HNL once a year in which case the 777 is better than the 752 on that route that have standard domestic F seats (which are more like E++)

All 752s have lie flat seats now. The "752" that has a standard domestic F seat is actually a 753.

You may be thinking of the old domestic configuration 757-200. Those have been retired for almost 2 years now. Last one taken out of service 4/4/16 according to United Fleet site. The 24-F 757-300 is still used frequently.
