Any I space shown at the time?

not that I recalled but here is the listing now (I would say it’s the same from early today when I booked)

I've been watching this exact flight for a few days. It never showed PN space, so it's curious that your upgrade cleared into PZ immediately if there was in fact no PN.
Air Houston likes this.

There is no UA flight for which that is true. There have been several recent reports of misses on TPE.

Perhaps it was PN1 PZ1 when OP applied the upgrade, which caused it to go to PN0 PZ0.

im pretty sure it was PZ0 but I may be mistaken. Whether it was PN>0, I’m not sure.

I'm 100% sure it showed PZ0. The website hasn't displayed PZ on Polaris routes in like a week.

Now I'm seeing ZN9 P0 PN9 PZ0 for a flight in December. Lol.

*Edit* Ah wait. Nevermind. I was looking at a 2-legged flight and the other leg didnt' have any P available. Searching just the UA leg shows P9.

Sorry, meant to say explicitly that the "true" inventory was PN1 PZ1 (whereas website and app would've shown PN1 PZ0).

Weird. Could be further glitches in how inventory is displayed, or a useful data point in the discussion we had upthread about the potential relationship between point-of-sale-specific inventory (for revenue P class in particular) and PN/PZ inventory. Consensus seemed to be that while there are instances where P might be restricted to certain POS, it would be a rare instance where P is restricted from any market while PN/PZ is (universally) available. We might have found our first such instance. Care to elaborate on the route?

SFO-HND

It appears that PZ is back!

Best news for a Monday, other than New England Super Bowl win.
