Don't worry, they're returning to normal in "mid December" ;)

Or maybe this is the new normal?

A week ago, this was humorous. Now, maybe kacee was prescient.

Honestly, I'm not even sure why we're talking about Chipotle in this thread. It's just a huge distraction. Chipotle had something like 58 people come down seriously ill with e coli infections, and this was widely reported in the media independent of anything Chipotle said publicly. By contrast, I'm not aware of any reports that any UA pax got sick due to DEN catering.

This is just a very simple - and very deliberate - customer service fail by UA. First in choosing the lowest possible cost "solution" of "let them eat BoB," then in choosing not to advise pax in advance that the meal service has been curtailed and does not meet published standards.

+1 and this will go on until UA make a clear public statement on DEN first class meals. Is this a temporary situation or a permanent change. In any case UA has not done an effective job of communicating with it's customers.

Kacee is always prescient. Once again, United finds a way to erode the value of its brand.

I guess one definition of mid-December would mean that we'll just on the cusp

"Early" could be days 1-10, Mid could be 11-20, and late 21-30.

This gives UA like 12 hours to sort this out within the time frame specified

Decided to be proactive for my flight DEN-KOA tomorrow, 12/21. Called GS desk and asked if there were still kitchen issues and if so I could plan eating at the airport in advance (DEN is my connection point). The agent called DEN and was told "the issue of FC meals was resolved today, so he should be fine tomorrow". The GS agent was very helpful, but I have to wonder with nobody reporting that things were corrected today, if the DEN party was correct. Anyone with flights today that can confirm/refute that service has been restored?

I think there are already a couple of reports now of "January" as the new target.

They have been saying the problem is resolved for some time now. Their resolution is BoB in First Class. It is completely unacceptable.

Amazing. You can’t make this stuff up. Instead of getting in front of the problem, and telling all first-class passengers up front what the real status of food services is out of Denver, employees are apparently still making things up as they go along. Does United have any real public relations experts on staff?

On DEN-YEG this morning. I asked the GA about the catering scenario and she too said, “apparently it was fixed today...but, just in case, here’s a voucher for lunch.”

I am am glad she gave me the voucher as I was able to get a real lunch. Onboard they were offering the BoB cheese tray - which is a pathetic excuse for a snack, let alone a lunch as the flight was supposed to have.
I fly this route weekly and it has been consistent as others have said. Even when on a P fare, the best I have been offered as compensation has been 5k miles.

I was offered a $150 ETC because the catering issue resulted in there being no lime wedges while in F on DEN-MCI.

Yes they do! Anyone you ask is a "REAL Public Relations Expert"!

Just ask any of them, if you want a "REAL" truthful answer!!:D

The best part of inquiring is you'll get an answer, from off the top of their head!

Still not fixed

On DEN-KOA right now. Specifically asked the GA before boarding if things were fixed, in other words no BoB as a FC meal. "oh yes, we fixed it today and no more BoB in FC." Get on board and voila...... pizza or burger. The blatant untruths are mind boggling. I don't normally complain but I won't take being lied to. This gets reported the second I land.

Why wait? Hit up the GS email address now.

Because the door is still open and I don't want to cry wolf if they fix it before we depart. Long shot at best, but we'll see.

As a flight attendant for UA, I just want to clarify... we absolutely hate flying in/out of DEN right now because of this. Trust me when I say that we feel the embarrassment about this, and while it is irritating and inconveniencing... do keep in mind that we're at the bottom of the pyramid and have absolutely no control over this. Every time that i'm in Denver now I have to mentally prepare myself to get yelled at about no lemons/limes and the BoB meals.
