is the count the same as he 2-4-2 planes?
If that's what's going on, it seems like they caught onto the GPU success rate and want to alter it.

With busy summer season coming up highly doubtful.

By then, several will, but certainly not all.

UA 934 is usually a 764 EWR-LHR. Yesterday, it was a 773, showing as having come from BGR as a diverted flight.

SFO - TPE using 777-200 First & Business Config?

Has anyone seen this config before? We always take this route (4 times a yr). It's normally a 777 w/ Business First setup (new cabin, all facing forward). What's with this? Are they moving planes around?

That's the old (and in my opinion far superior) United config. I find the rear-facing seats to make for a much nicer flight.

I prefer new seating since they all face forward and have access to aisle without bothering the neighbor.
Looks like I can't purchase first class, so I'm guessing they are using this old plane as a placer. They will swap to new polaris plane when it's closer to flight in Nov 2018

It's possible, but no guarantees. Very likely you will fly in 2-4-2 J.

I believe I read elsewhere, that the new Polaris configured plane currently used on this route (777-300) is being swapped for this 777-200 plane in the near future. So I think this will be the seat map for your upcoming flight.

Varies, but plenty of PMUA metal was on that route winter 2016/2017 and spring-early summer 2017.

Likely a placeholder. SFO-TPE/NRT/PEK/LHR/FRA are all scheduled with 772 in November. I doubt that would be the case as UA will have 18 77W by Q4 2018.

Ohare 77W love?

I am really jealous that SFO and EWR keep getting these new 77W routes but freaking Ohare with THE FIRST Polaris lounge has nothing to go with the lounge.
FFS what was the point of rolling the lounge out so early with no routes? Please United, ANA is running 77Ws to Chicago, you just retired that stinky 747 and replaced it with another stinky 772 to NRT.
My Japanese colleagues are never going to give UA a shot until they fix the planes...
