But we are getting a bit OT.
As for the original issue, the paired seating, I would find this an interesting :td: change and one I would be surprised if UA has implemented.

Lesson learned on the E+ seating entitlement for 1Ks.

But I'm still curious if anyone else has experienced "married pair" seating when booking travel for two on a single PNR?

I always book for 2 flyers and have never seen this happen. Very strange. We are both 1K so I don't know if that matters or not. I've also had itineraries that included flyers with no status and been able to move us around (in E+).

Yeah, I would be skeptical that this is really the case. It just seems too hard to implement from a backend standpoint. What if you move rows? To a row with only one seat? And then move back? Et cetera... I really doubt UA could pull off coding this.

I'm pleasantly surprised. I had a moderately complicated award booking to make, and I dreaded having to search partner inventory. Well, not only did the UA site actually properly price a round trip TATL award with one stopover, but showed most if not all of the available partner award inventory as well!

Oh, and of course there is no easy link to get back to flight search. Have to click the logo to go back to the main home screen.

This website is awful.

That "We are unable to process your request" message is what I get about half the time when looking for awards. The old site was vastly more reliable. This version is crap.

Can't search for flights SFO-EWR this morning because SFO "is not served by United or our partners."

Unbelievable.

Well, at least

it looks like they got rid of that irritating focus shift back to the top of the page when selecting the Travelers dropbox.

Now, if they would just stop changing all my Recent Searches from 2 Seniors to 2 Infants.

Also, anyone else notice the connection time going missing from existing reservations now and then?

I've been getting this from EWR recently...

Usually have to enter it three times and pull my mouse out of the info entry section, then double click it. Then the website agrees that Newark is indeed an airport they serve. To be fair, there are the odd enhancements one notices from time to time, but overall some of the more irritating glitches which have been known for many years persist.

I have long ago given up that for whatever reason United's IT is inconsistent and that I will frequently have to call in to make simple changes or have miles re-deposited. I really hope that when Oscar returns they allocate a decent share of funds to make the booking process easier and problem-free. I guess this sentiment covers most of United's flight operations and reliability too.

Thank heaven. How annoying was that?

Two days in a row now the site is not recognizing airports as not being served by United.

I am trying to book a flight today

Jeez...come on, UA...get it together

Yes, I noted it up-thread someplace. On my itins, not just connection time, but all flights times disappeared as well. They re-appeared a couple days ago...haven't checked recently.

My flight times are still wrong. When searching it correctly showed IAH-SCL as 9hr5min and SCL-IAH as 9hr25min. But after booking it says IAH-SCL is 10hr5min and SCL-IAH is 8hr25min. No idea why they are having so many issues with time zones.

My other major issue right now is I constantly am in a new country and on a new internet connection. This damn website has to stop asking me where I am and what language I want. Hey United - SET A COOKIE and leave it!!! It's called a laptop and people use them when they are mobile. I have to use United.com several times a day and between different internet connections and every single time I'm asked where I am and what language I want to use - always defaulting to the country/language I am in based on IP address. This is driving me up a wall. Of course I have submitted this via Site Feedback several times and they can't be bothered to fix it.

SET A COOKIE, READ THE COOKIE. Done.

Same for me with MSY.

Same thing happens to me with my iPad. It didn't happen all of last year, but when I was in Europe 2 weeks ago, it did. It's quite annoying.

Yeah, the search engine doesn't think DEN is served by United. Use the "See full airport list" tool in the Location box and that fixes the issue.

I'm consistently getting ~1h flight duration for a 2 hour flight SFO-SEA, and ~3h flight duration for the reverse 2 hour flight SEA-SFO. It's the same online and in the (Android) app. Both cities are in the same time zone as far as I can tell.
