I may have mentioned this before, but I really like that flight search parameters are URL encoded... it means that you can bookmark a search to watch prices or R inventory really easily.
I really hope that when they update the reservation listings and reservation details page, it'll have a similar behavior. I'd love to have the ability to bookmark my reservation detail pages. Perhaps related: I don't like on the old site how I can't work with different reservations in different tabs at the same time. I want to see that fixed. |
What do we want?
A NEW WEBSITE! When do we want it? NOW! When will we use it? NEVER! FWIW I like the new site and haven't had an issue with it so far booking SFO-SEA-SFO, SFO-TPE HKG-EWR with GPUs confirmed at booking, MEL-LAX with GPU confirmed at booking & MRY-LAX-MRY which I then switched to SFO-LAX-MRY. I don't think it was on the old site but I like that when searching awards you can filter so all the J or F ones come up to the top. Also love that Y/J/F fare comparisons are right next to each other. |

Beautiful New Error Type Font
Trying to book award travel ATH-SCE on 18 Oct. Option appear, but new screen shows Error in beautiful new United.bomb type font.
Of course I must be doing something wrong. |
Is award search broken with United website update?
I went to search for an award and noticed United updated it's website. Looks great, but it seems like something might not be working right?
I searched for an award from SFO to SJO departing 3/9. The results grid says no saver awards available on that date, but 3/10 is shaded in blue, which indicates a saver award is available in premium cabin. However, when I scroll through all of the results for that date, there are no saver awards listed in premium cabins. I clicked on several other departure dates shaded in both blue (indicating premium cabin saver award available) and green (indicating both premium and economy saver awards available). When I clicked on green, I did see a saver award, but no premium awards. Am I missing something? Try this out and see if you see what I'm seeing. |
I agree

I see award space both on the 9th and the 10th of March. It is on partners and you need to scroll down to see it, but it is there from what I'm seeing.

Hmmmm.... Lots of interesting comments and good questions posted here, and I have a couple myself. But, has anyone been around to respond to them? Any of these concerns been answered?

Though it's not the case in this situation, also note that the calendar is often wrong. I've seen many cases where there is award availbility on a date that is not colored correctly (or even colored at all), and dates where the coloring claims there is availability, but there is none further down.

The system does not seem to complete (for me) right now. I get through an outbound reward selection. Then the system will not load any return options. No error message, nothing. The header loads and the remainder of the screen goes blank (where flight options should be). If there are none, you would think it would tell me this?

What does it say, when so many posts here are for directions to access the OLD site?
