But the new site appears to have a bug - has anyone else noticed this?

I search for a desired route, and i prefer to travel intl on business saver (SAVER AWARD PREMIUM CABIN)

one day in january is coming up shaded blue which indicates there is a business saver award with some routing on that day.

But no flights appear with that award level

For example, one-way LAX-CDG on Dec 25. The day is shaded in BLUE, but every flight in the results page for FIRST or BUSINESS SAVER says "NOT AVAILABLE"

AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG

The old award site search routinely did this as well. I must've encountered it a dozen times. I think it's bad data from *A partners in their flight database.

I hope UA can find a fix, but the problem has been around for at least two years if not more.

I seem to have transitioned to the new site. Is there a way to go back to the old one? I can't seem to find the link anymore. Although half the pages seem to still be the old site.

Last night, i actually was talking to the agent about it, and they told me just to click the tab that said BUSINESS SAVER AWARD TICKET and i kept telling them i was doing that.

I think they DEFINITELY see something different than we do!

On the old site this would happen when the available flights were on the pages that exceeded the first 25 that were being viewed. After I opened up the option to view the 50 flight options, the available flights were always there. BUT... the reason they were at the botton the list were because of double connections or long connection times (>12 hours sometimes).

I don't see an option for Advanced search settings in the new site. :(

Similarly, sometimes it will show in white (no flights available) but there really are some flights available tho they're not terribly accurate.

thank you Channa.

I almost exclusively "trusted" these results for the most part. Never thought to actually call when availability did not appear on the dates desired.

Guess that never hurts to call to verify

Missing award flights options?

With the new website I'm not seeing many of the award flight options that I had seen yesterday (or maybe two days ago, whenever the old website was still there).

For YYZ-BOG there were many UA options with stops in various places but now only the direct AC flights are showing up, greatly reducing the number of options/dates available.

Has anyone else noticed something similar?

For an hour, I've been trying to search for award travel but always get an error: "We are not able to find any available seats that meet your search criteria." There should be plenty of seats—standard award ones if nothing else. This is for travel way off in June 2016 and a now-award search turns up plenty of seats. Error happens in every browser I have, including the UA app. What gives?

RNE, I am having the same exact issue. There is something wrong with award search right now.

same here. I've been looking at flights from HKG-FRA for the last month or so for next summer and there has consistently been options on LH, TK, Swiss, SAS, Air China, and Thai. Now it shows availability only where there is a direct flight on LH.

Short answer the old website is going to away and you will eventually need to learn how to use the new site. See post #1 of this thread.

he new site has been having some issues so the total transition is not likely going to occur immediately.

For now, some have had success clearing their cookies to return to the old site -- there is more on this upthread.

When trying to book CDG - DOH for this upcoming December, I get this error on my screen (I'm using Chrome, tried on Safari as well and it failed). Here I am trying to give my business to United and they are making it increasingly difficult and frustrating...

Clearing the cookies helped me return to the original UA site. But I am still seeing the lack of award space here as well.

Now that multiple fare options are shown, it leads to some odd experiences, and not always the "lowest" price, contrary to what's being displayed.

Ex: HKG-SFO nonstop r/t; Nov 26 - Nov 29
Code:

HKG-SFO UA862
Economy (lowest) | Economy (flexible)
$581 | $334
S fare | S fare

Chose the $334 fare, and got the below results.

SFO-HKG UA869
Economy (lowest) | Economy (flexible)
$604 | $877
K fare | S fare

Code:

HKG-SFO UA862
Economy (lowest) | Economy (flexible)
$581 | $334
S fare | S fare

Chose the $581 fare, and got the below results.

SFO-HKG UA869
Economy (lowest) | Economy (flexible)
$357 | $630
K fare | S fare

Guessing the 2 S-fares shown on the outbound are 2 different S-fares, which lead to different combinability on the return. Still a confusing user experience on the outbound.
