Welcome to this thread to ask your basic, simple questions about United Airlines, its operations, or the MileagePlus program. We know that the airline is complex and we’ve created this thread for new and veteran members to ask those basic questions about United Airlines that you think must have an easy answer but just can’t find it or aren’t sure where to look.

Welcome to Flyertalk elecblue. I think you may want to ask for your question to be moved here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...re-2016-a.html you may get more answers and learn a little more about United along the way. The RDM, PQM, PQD thing can be confusing - good luck.

Great, that's what I'll plan on doing. Should I call the airlines let them know that I won't make it on that flight right before the flight so they don't keep looking/announcing for me or just hush up and not worry about it?
Thanks

Incorrect. There is no need to pay a redeposit fee to change an award. An economy award can be changed (not upgraded) to a first class award by paying the difference in miles and any applicable change fee. Or UA may offer a cash buy-up (though it often does not on award tickets).

Hi Guys!

I have a United Mileage plus explorer card and I get 2 United Club lounge passes every year. I have used them in the past on layovers with United flights.

My wife and I are flying to EWR via DTW with Delta in September. We land into EWR at 10 am and our Hotel check-in is after 1 pm. Can we use the United lounge at EWR after we land? Will they ask to see the boarding pass for our next flight before allowing us access? Also, not sure if they would let us in as we flew with Delta?

Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

"Beginning August, 18, 2016, all United Club members, their guests, and United Club one-day pass holders are eligible to access United Club locations only when they have a flight arriving or departing on any airline the same day, and must show a boarding pass for entry."

As far as I can tell, you should be fine to get in.

UA IT inconsistency I guess... I did this last week- the fee was labeled a "change fee" on .bomb via "Change Flight" on the reservation screen, but when it actually executes the change, the original miles for Economy Award are actually redeposited and the new Award is immediately withdrawn, and the receipt for the "change fee" lists it as "award redeposit fee"...

Thanks for your reply!

That sounds promising. I hope they allow the boarding pass from an arriving flight with no further flights that day. That is what I am slightly confused about.

I believe there's no airside connection between the terminal you're arriving in (B) and any other terminal where you can find a United Club

Only if you have a Canadian billing address.

Try an OTA, such as Expedia.
