UA63, MAD-EWR was cancelled due to maintenance so the winds had nothing to do with it.

1/5 UA/122 (757) IAD-LHR delayed 10:26 (9:35am scheduled departure, 8pm actual-- the daylight flight impacted by LHR's curfew) for MX; this will impact UA/123 on 1/6 but isn't yet updated to reflect that

1/5 UA/110 (757) EWR-LHR currently delayed 4:10 -- MX

on 1/6/2015 UA Cancelled 895 HKG to SIN, B777 aircraft due to crew unavailability (I still don't quite understand how this one happens on mainline UA and equipment).

I doubt it will have much of an impact due to the amount of united departures at lhr.

Yes - this plane was supposed to be my plane for the 1/7 flight from SIN to NRT - which they have now swapped out for the incoming flight from NRT... Something odd must have happened....

Which leads to another cancelled 777 flight. SIN to HKG cancelled due to flight crew availability.

I'm guessing most people are connecting onwards to the states and can be rebooked on either the UA SIN to NRT flight or possibly ANA?

Well - since that flight was virtually "empty" it seems likely that most passengers were likely re-accommodated on other flights....

UA 946 IAD to AMS B763 aircraft maintenance

Tomorrow:

UA 137 (1/2/2015) GUM to NGO B738 crew availability

UA 947 (1/2/2015) AMS to IAD B763 aircraft maintenance

UA 196 (1/2/2015) GUM to NRT B738 aircraft maintenance
Where do you get all this very specific data? Fascinating.

UA/122 arrived 7:37am. That aircraft was then used for UA/43 LHR-EWR (8:40am scheduled, 8:58am actual) instead of its usual turn to UA/123 LHR-IAD (7:30am departure). That was a good operational swap to keep the return LHR-IAD on schedule despite the long IAD-LHR inbound delay.

except that UA123 ended up leaving 2.5 hours late and has diverted to BGR for gas

when all is said and done it will probably be 4 hours late into IAD if the crew doesn't time out in BGR after the delay ex-LHR

1/6 UA 895 ORD-HKG cancelled as crew timed out.
1/7 UA 895 HKG-SIN cancelled.
1/8 UA 896 SIN-HKG cancelled.
1/8 UA 896 HKG-ORD showing as being delayed due to late inbound arrival (N227UA). Now showing estimated departure time as 1544 and arriving into ORD at 1542.

Looks like there will be an extra sector on 1/7 UA 2078 ORD-HKG departing at 830 and arriving into HKG at 1409.
